Sean, get a clue. We’re not digging foxholes.

***

I am listening to Sean Hannity and I’m fuming.  He’s defending Gen. Petraeus’ weak-kneed position on the burning of Korans… and Hannity’s not seeing the bigger picture.  “This Koran burning will put our troops in harm’s way!” he screams.

???

Ummm, Sean, they already are in harm’s way.  And no matter how fierce the fight, how dangerous the battle, that’s what our military is trained to do.  That’s why they are in “harm’s way”.

Three callers so far.  All three disagree with Sean.  Sean cuts them off, sliding their audio pot down on his switcher to override them, all the time hiding behind Gen. Petraeus’ political statement to make his case.  End of callers. Into a commercial break and then the news.  Back in with Newt Gingrich who’s saying something about another contract…

Pathetic.

Sean’s nose is out of joint because callers were telling him that he’s got it wrong.  The Florida pastor is making the case that it is time to stand up to these mangy muslim mongrels who are pushing themselves and their death-worshiping way of life on us.

“Kowtowing to these radicals is going to make it worse,” one caller tries to say as Sean screams over him.

Sean is showing his true colors… an unattractive shade of wimp, tinged with appeasement yellow.  He’s so angry with this caller he can barely talk.  “How dare you accuse me of kowtowing… you obviously don’t listen to this program every day!” he fumes.   The caller manages to say that he does before Sean cuts him off again.

That caller might listen to Sean everyday, but we won’t be from now on.

Here, pussy pussy… lick the hand that feeds ye.

  1. Maybe burning the Koran will bring out the cowards so our troops can see them and then shoot AFTER the Koran defenders shoot first.
Had an interview for an article being written for the Florida Today. They asked me about the burning of the Koran and I told them that while it was over the top, FINALLY someone has drawn a line in the sand. When are we going to have someone in our government and news media stand up for OUR way of life?

  2. that florida pastor, I’ve read, is friends with Fred Phelps. Westboro Baptist Church “God hates fags” Fred Phelps.

    This is NOT GOOD.

Not a man I want to support in any endeavor at all.

    1. I’m going to quote here from a fellow blogger who wrote in an email thread about this topic:

“And finally SO WHAT that Dove associated with Westboro? None of them have attacked anyone…none of them have advocated violence against anyone. Who cares? Are conservatives adopting the tactics of the left in using guilt by association?

What principles are being violated? Freedom of speech? Assembly? Religion? Life, Liberty or the Pursuit of Happiness….??? Argue your case against Dove by using principles that are being violated not by using associations? Is the purpose of the article simply to attack them for their associations?

I will leave you with this wonderfully illuminating quote:

We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you.
—- Hussein Massawi, a former Hezbollah leader

      1. Of course no principles are violated here. Of course there is no guilt, by association or otherwise, since there is no violation of law or even of basic morality, not in the Koran burning. I think Phelps, though, is morally bankrupt and his provocation of the innocent in the midst of their suffering is vile and sickening. It is not Christian at all. And I can’t help but wonder if Dove shares any of those traits. This sort of has a feel to it. I agree with the stand, the principle, the point… but I worry about the point being made by someone so easily discreditable, if in fact he turns out to be that.

I guess I’ve been disappointed so many times, I’m just flinching.

Fred Phelps showing up at funerals of soldiers to stick a finger in the eye of crying mothers and widows casts a stench over everything anywhere near him. He has no heart, but he claims to speak for God.

Time will tell, I guess, whether this fellow is in that mold.

      2. re: “we are fighting to eliminate you” That’s exactly the kind of thing I think about when guys like Brennan are giving speeches to Muslim groups, talking in Arabic about how beautiful “al Quds” is, and joking with the crowd not to reveal what he had just said to them in Arabic.

  3. Religious tolerance is something that radical muslims can not envision.
The artists that drew Mohammad found that out.

Muslim extremists desecrated a church and burnt a Bible

Muslims while holed up in the Church of the Nativity reportedly used the Bible as toilet paper

    PA Muslims Desecrate Christian Gravestones

The number of flags burned in demonstrations

Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for “religious toleration” are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more than 100 mosques already exist in New York City. Meanwhile, there are no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian or Jew can even enter Mecca.

  4. It’s too darn bad that someone has rattled the Mulims’s
Keffiyeh (headgear) and will burn the Koran.
The Muslims don’t have any problem with stomping on our flag, or burning it and effigies of our presidents. BOO HOO, let them pound sand along with their oil and their planned Mosque at ground Zero…

  5. The pResident has never commented on his “buddy” Bill Ayers standing on our flag for a photo shoot.

Had the pastor called burning the koran “art”, the taxpayers would be subsidizing it.

I’m thrilled that SOMEONE is finally drawing a line in the sand….I only hope the pastor stands firm.

Political correctness is killing this country and it doesn’t help to have “conservative” talk show hosts (or anyone else) go hypocritical on it.

The elephant dung Virgin, the crucifix in urine and flag burning were “free speech”, and nobody gave a damn whose sensibilities were offended…it’s PAST time to make the muslims see what living in America means—if they don’t like it, they can leave, amid a cacophony of applause.

  6. I heard the same Sean Hannity show and had to turn it off before he even got to the first caller. Ok, I am sensitive to the argument that if some particular act has the probability of bringing harm to American troops then it might be a good idea to avoid it, or consider it judiciously. I get it. But Hannity is still wrong. He’s also a hypocrite, because for weeks he has been railing against the construction of the Ground Zero mosque. I almost wonder if the imam was responding specifically to Hannity on CNN last night when he made the argument that if the mosque does not go forward as planned, it will enrage the Muslim world (what doesn’t?) and endanger our troops. In other words, it will produce exactly the same hypothetical consequences as the Koran burning. Hannity denounces the Koran burning, but is all in favor of the resistance to the mosque. Well make up your mind there Sean!

This is exactly what Islam does. They will continually lower the threshold of what might produce hypothetical consequences, and they can get away with it because even the supposedly conservative voices are directing all their ire at some obscure pastor rather than where it should be going, and that’s at an entire segment of the world that goes batsh*t crazy at every perceived provocation. The problem isn’t what will or will not cause the Muslim world to go ballistic, the problem is that they even go ballistic. Period.
