Breitbart, you magnificent bastard! I read your book!

From the Shark Tank:

At this weekend’s FreedomWorks rally in Washington, D.C, conservative media mogul Andrew Breitbart took time to talk to yours truly, El Sharko, about certain key political political races that will take center stage at this year’s general election battle royale.   Breitbart , has long been the target of the liberal Media and the Democrat party.  Mr. Breitbart made a shocking announcement to me, Maha-Sharkie that made my well honed fin stand at the center of attention, when he endorsed- wait for it – Congressman Kendrick Meek! over Charlie Crist in Florida’s highly contentious U.S. Senatorial race.  Breitbart also expressed his thoughts about the frontrunner, Republican candidate and all around swell dude, Marco Rubio before giving a his big bear hug of an endorsement to a true liberal instead of wanna-be liberal Charlie Crist.

Reasonable people might conclude that Breitbart’s endorsement is done somewhat tongue-in-cheek given his stature in the conservative movement and prior support for Republican candidates across the country.  I asked him what he thought about that johnny-come-lately to the progressive movement Governor Charlie Crist, and suffice to say, his facial expression said it all.

  1. Breitbart and Shark Tank both have the same thing in common, they have no knowledge of Florida politics. Many fear Crist splitting the vote thus giving it to Meeks. It was not the democrat party that inspired the people to take to the streets(T.P.).We all know what the dnc stands for. It’s the gop politicians who have to be reminded it’s an election year to get back on message.

  2. Lightweight, democrats are dismayed and unenthusiastic this year.. while conservative voters are ENRAGED and ON FIRE to make a difference. Given that, in every part of America, about 60% of the people self-identify as conservative (very or somewhat) in the Battleground poll (and I mean EVERY YEAR, plus or minus one point, the number is the same over many years), it would not surprise me to see Rubio get more than 50%. Crist is straddled in nowhere-land. Independents are shocked and appalled at Obama’s hard left Stalinist type agenda, and the ones who voted for him are ashamed and feel swindled. And among those independents, a majority of them answered the Battleground poll as conservatives, very or somewhat.

The split in the conservative movement is between fiscal and social (i.e. abortion and Christianity in general), and as Reagan brought us all together in 1980, so is Obama achieving this in reverse– by frightening us into realizing how much we need each other. Crist is NEITHER socially nor fiscally conservative, and he is out in the freakin’ cold.

Rubio by a majority. The seniors who all moved to Florida when they retired are NOT going to vote for the man who hugged/smooched Obama, and not going to vote for the party that puts a target on their backs and asks them to just die so younger more productive people can have those health care $$$.

Rubio by a majority in the three way.

  3. Breitbart endorsed Meek as a jab at Crist. Crist has no base. Independents are voting Repub this year for fiscal common sense. There are no voters who are looking for something in between Rubio and Meek. They are either looking for Meek or looking for Rubio.

    Crist is straddling barbed wire.

  4. Dave in Dallas, there is a bigger picture and you have bought the gop spin. The people took to the streets (T.P.) not because the DNC was’nt doing what they do,they always have promised socialist goodies. The GOP is what made the majority mad. They have not done what they promised. There are 22(oops 21 after the primaries) in the senate race and you are like most, seeing only 3.One of these canidates claims to be a Constitutional Scholar and puts out the challenge “he will drop out of the race on the spot if anyone proves him wrong.”The reason you only see what the polls tell us is because Talk Radio is Republican Radio and will not interview any of the citizen candidates who rose up out of the Tea Party Movement. The GOP is highjacking the T.P.Movement while the DNC is trying to split it.Rubio won with the numbers of a rock star, but who did he run against? If he is the answer,I doubt he will bring record numbers, because he is another Mel Martinez on the Amnesty/Immigration issue.Dave, don’t look at the republican politicians as conservative because of their view on the social issues, look at their record on the Consitution.Even most liberals live a tradional lifestyle and not by their policy. If you go at it from that angle, you will agree these citizen candidates need to have their chance to prove if they stand or fail the test.I will make my bets that if the same ole republican politicianas and the hacks they endorse make it back in office, the Tea Party Movement will have peaked, and will become beauracratic political organizations selling T shirts and raising money like the parties and pacs.

  5. Show me one time in human history when “Compromise” worked? Start in the Great Depression and follow the GOP through it’s history til now?We have Newt and the GOP talking Contract With America again. They need to call it ‘Lie To America Again’ and watch people continue to sit out more each elections as they lie in another election. The GOP is dead and cannot be turned around with the same politicians.Replace them all at once and none of the new ones being endorsed by the current crop, then it would be believable.Name one time in history Compromise worked and history bears the results?Compromise is getting half of what is right,it don’t work. Our country does not have the time for testing theories.
