In a moment, a leftist lunatic destroyed a half a dozen lives. Six were killed. Others were wounded. Gabrielle Giffords, who could probably be described as a rising star in the Democratic Party remains in critical condition, with a gunshot wound to the head.
The wounded were not even at the hospital before the left began its attack on the Tea Party movement.
The leftist sheriff of Pima County was one of the first to start in on the liberal attack. He said, “When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become the capital. We have become the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry.” This is the same guy who announced he would refuse to enforce SB 1070 (The Arizona Immigration law) because it offended him.
McClatchy Newspapers repeated the standard liberal talking points. They said Conservatives were upset because she supported health care reform and during the debate her office was vandalized. Although no one was ever caught, the liberal media still feels it appropriate to blame this on a conservative.
For the Tea Party movement, we need to get ready because this week, the attack is going to intensify. Despite the fact that his friends from high school have described him as being quite liberal, the media is still going to be pushing the line that this is the fault of the Tea Party movement.
The hotheads on the left have been using Twitter, Facebook and other social media to spout off for the last 24 hours. Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas fired off a tweet saying, “Mission accomplished Sarah Palin.” Hotheads like him will fade. Next week we will see a more serious attack from those who are the masters at the dark arts of media and politics.
This attack has already started and you can see the liberal meme forming. They will say the tone and rhetoric from conservatives and the Tea Party is responsible for this crime. In Politico today, first an unnamed “Republican” (read RINO) Senator said, “tone matters.” Politico then quoted an unnamed Democratic operative who followed the same “tone matters” line, blaming the “overheated rhetoric” for the shooting, then saying Obama should “deftly pin this on the Tea Partiers,” just like Clinton placed the blame for the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.
In 1995, Clinton then tried to blame conservative talk radio, especially Rush Limbaugh, for the terrorist bombing. The tactic worked then, backing conservatives off and possibly helping to ensure a second Clinton term.
The line we will see for the next few weeks is going to be that rhetoric and tone of the message from the Tea Party is responsible for this attack. Let’s ignore the fact that this guy was not only nuts, but also a card carrying liberal. The hard left is going to try and silence the Tea Party movement by blaming us for this.
In a decent world, we could all take a moment to mourn for those killed by a liberal lunatic. Political civility is long since dead and the left will not let us do this.
So be it.
The left is coming and will hit us hard on this. We need to push back harder with the simple truth. The shooter was a liberal lunatic. Emphasis on both words.

Even as I read this, the “Today” show is on in the next room, and they are linking Sarah Palin’s name to the “rhetoric” that “could” be behind the shooting.
I think that the tag of “emotionally unstable” is being used heavily, so that if his Leftist views come to light, the Left will have a way out.
if they want to silence people then all forms of Media needs to be shut down , I mean all the Networks NBC , CBS , ABC , FOX , all the Internet , Hollywood , EVERYTHING gets shut down !!! I mean really if the Message is the problem then All forms are the Problem , if we want a controlled message , then NO message !!!

This person was not a leftist lunatic he was a RIGHTIST LUNATIC, which is quite obvious by his comments on the web.
It’s the know-nothing tea party, and Russ Limbaughs, Hannitys, Levins, and Fox news who have driven this lunatic to do what he did.

The basis for the claim that the shooter is “leftist” is the fact that some of his fellow-students stated that he was, also the type of literature that he had in his home, the statements he, himself made in documents found in his home, and the fact that he has been stalking Rep. Giffords for the last three years.
Of course, NOTHING the “LEFT” has ever said has been in the least incendiary or vitriolic. We just imagined that they were there at President Bush’s home in Crawford, TX spouting out hate and meanness. No one depicted him as a Nazi or as Hitler, and no one ever said he should be hanged or shot or removed from office, now did they???? No, of course not, we just dreamed all of that, didn’t we???
Blame, blame, blame! Does it really matter if this lunatic was influenced by the left or right? This tragedy allows us to step back and evaluate the way we conduct ourselves in the political forum. If the hatred and animosity directed by both sides does not stop, politically motivated attacks will occur. Let’s end the fight and start trying to build a country where different ideologies can co-exist. The one thing that is quite clear is that this is what the majority of this country’s citizens want; be they left or right. It is time to to stop the ego-maniacal rantings on both sides and spend our time building up this country, not tearing it down.
Having been on two Tea Party Express national tours in which we crisscrossed the country, doing rallies in hundreds of cities, meeting hundreds of thousands of Americans, I NEVER saw “the right” act out violently. I also attended Beck’s 8/28 Restoring Honor event and two tea party rallies on Capitol Hill — again, no evidence whatsoever of the “right” exhibiting signs of violence. Your blame of both sides– right and left — is dishonest.
So before you paint both sides with the same brush, stop and think. You could be doing the same thing as the Left… Sheriff Dupnik is a classic example. Folks who are calling out for “civility” from both sides don’t know what they’re talking about. Peaceful assembly IS what “the right” — Americans who love the Constitution and the founding principles that made this country great and believe in Divine providence — do.
The left is showing its butt end on this deal. But then, what’s new?
I have not seen any hatred or animosity from those on the right who are just trying to preserve our nation’s values. I have seen PLENTY from the left over the past 10 years or so and I am astonished at how hypocritical they really are. Do they REALLY believe we won’t remember what they say and do by the next day???? REALLY?????
Yes, it DOES matter which side he was on.
I’m too busy at my “real job” to do what I’m good at. But, I’ve come upon some information that the REAL target of the shooting was the JUDGE. And, just WHY was he targeted?? Because he had recently issued a memorandum to support a decision that he was about to issue. That decision was AGAINST Obamacare.
So, is the shooter a foamy-mouthed nut case; or, was he a “true believer” of the Left — just doing his “duty” to ensure that the plans of The One go forward uninterrupted??
It DOES matter.

I’m not blaming anybody. This guy was probably a nut job. If you read my post, you would see that this is a good time to reflect on how all of those in powers of authority should think about what they say and whether or not their words may inspire someone to act out on their own misguided ideologies. I respect your right to your beliefs, you should respect mine. I thought that was what this country was all about. I guess I’m wrong. GL to all.
