From Joe at The Daily Beck

. . . . .

He was my lifesaver when I couldn’t be in front of the TV at 5 pm ET every weeknight.  I always knew I could count on The Daily Beck to watch Glenn’s episodes.  So, thank you Joe.  We’re awfully grateful to you for all your work to make sure as many folks as possible could learn from Glenn’s chalk boards.  Happy Independence Day to you and your loved ones!

Well, folks…here we are. Tonight is the night…Glenn’s last show on Fox News.

We have all had plenty of time to prepare for this and make the transition over to GBTV, but I still can’t get over the fact that tonight REALLY is Glenn’s last show on cable news. I guess it just hasn’t sunk in yet-and it probably won’t until that last “From New York, Goodnight, America”.

I suppose I really shouldn’t be too surprised that I feel this way. After all, there was only one place you could ever expect to find me on weekdays at 5:00 Eastern over the last two years – and that’s where I’m sitting right now…in this old chair recording, cutting and preparing the Glenn Beck Program for folks like yourself. As you can imagine, I’ve gotten used to this same old routine and I guess it just doesn’t seem right that tonight will really be the last time I ever do a Glenn Beck Show in this capacity. But having said all of that, I truly believe that Glenn’s departure from Fox was the right move. He had all of us in mind when he made this decision. GBTV will empower you by giving you even more of the tools and resources that you need to be able to make a difference and truly change the world!

I just wanted to take a moment here to thank you all for allowing me to serve you for the past two years. Thank you for putting your trust in me and counting on me to always be there when you were away from home and missed a show, forgot to set the DVR or had to make the difficult decision to cut the cable because you lost your job. I have received countless thank you e-mails over the last few years and though I didn’t get a chance to respond to them all, I want you all to know that it truly made my day to hear all of your stories. I am truly thankful that God was able to use me in order to somehow make your life a little less stressful. And I would also just like to say to the many men and women of the United States Armed Forces stationed overseas who relied on this site to get your Beck fix- Thank you so much for your letters of support and encouragement. I consider it the greatest honor to have been able to serve you in some capacity.

When I first launched The Daily Beck in 2009, I had no idea that it would grow into the force it has become today! During the first few weeks, the site averaged just around 150 visitors per day. Today, I am proud to say that with an average of 30,000 unique site visitors each weekday, The Daily Beck is now the third most popular Glenn Beck site on the internet (behind Glennbeck.com and The Blaze)! I must confess, sitting in this chair each day for the last few years hasn’t been easy…at times, I have been stressed beyond imagination and just wanted to quit all together. Knowing that thousands of people are waiting on you every night to post a show can be pretty overwhelmingly stressful! But in times like this, I always tried to remind myself something: If just ONE person who was able to hear Glenn’s message because of my efforts wound up using what they learned to make a positive impact on the world, then it would ALL be worth it in the end! All it takes is one person to set in motion a chain of events that can change the world! Keep that in mind the next time you feel like giving up!

Remember the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer:

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

No matter where we go from here or what happens next for this site, I have truly enjoyed my time on this earth being known simply to many as “The Daily Beck guy”. I have taken great pleasure in knowing that I might be able to play even the smallest role in the fight to save our Republic. During my reign as “The Daily Beck”, I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting and talking to several awesome and influential people who play a role each day in the fight to protect freedom and liberty all over the world…you all know who you are and I want to thank you for the inspiration.

In closing, I would just like to say that because of this website, my life has truly been changed forever in so many ways. But the one thing I am most thankful for about The Daily Beck is that it allowed me to finally find the love of my life. I never imagined that I would ever meet a girl more perfect for me and that loved Glenn Beck just as much as I did…but with God, all things are possible. Bridgette, thank you for being my rock. We truly are “The Perfect American Couple”.

Glenn will begin a new chapter in his life when he exits the stage of his Fox News set for the last time tonight. I suggest that we follow his lead and make the same decision to turn the page in our own lives by resolving to use our own individual talents and skills to make a difference. Don’t just watch GBTV, take what you learn there and put it into action. Always stand up for what is right, even when it’s unpopular to do so. Be a lifeline for others in times of need and show them that the common sense principles and ideas this country was founded on can STILL work today…man can rule himself!

Thank you and God bless,

Joe Seales
