Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has accused Washington of pushing Ukraine into provocative tensions with Russia while addressing the State Duma on Wednesday, saying:
▪️Russia’s security will be reliably ensured under any circumstances
▪️Moscow will take the necessary retaliatory measures if the United States and NATO do not respond to Russia’s proposals on security guarantees
▪️Moscow will harshly stop attempts to shift responsibility for non-compliance with the Minsk agreements to Russia
Meanwhile, Kremlin spox Dmitry Peskov undercut US sanctions aimed against Putin as “not painful, they are politically destructive”, while revealing a telephone conversation between Putin and Macron is scheduled for Friday January 28.
