The DOJ tried to claim that Trump had no standing to file in court asking for a Special Master because….
…the seized property consists of Presidential records over which Plaintiff lacks a ‘possessory interest’.
This means 1 of two things, one of which is patently absurd.
1. The DOJ is claiming that since he’s not President anymore, Trump has no right to possess and store his own Presidential records
OR
2. The seized Presidential records **are not Trump’s but are some current or former President’s records and so Trump has no right to possess them.
The point is moot now since the judge has granted Trumps’ request for a Special Master …
