Hi All,
Help is really needed in Nashville after the flood. If you can help by donating money or supplies, even helping to spread the word, it would be much appreciated!
Happy Mother’s Day weekend!

Help Nashville Today!
Last Friday evening, it started raining in Nashville. In 48 hours, the city received almost 14 inches of rain. That is twice the previous record and to put it in perspective, that is an amount of rain that Nashville usually receives during the entire month of May.
The result of such a sudden onslaught of water has been a 500 year flood. Nashville’s downtown is flooded as are many residential areas. The beautiful Opryland Hotel, the site three months ago of the National Tea Party Convention, has been wrecked by the floods.
Now, as the flood waters recede, the need for help grows. Families have lost loved ones, pets, belongings and their homes.
Nashville needs your help today and it is time for the Tea Party movement to act.
One of the underpinnings of the Tea Party is love of country and love of neighbor. There are a number of groups that are helping out. These three groups take online donations:
We need you to do three things.
First, go online and contribute. When you contribute, let them know your donation was from a member of the Tea Party.
Second, consider a relief drive at your church or school. Many of the people who lost their homes in this disaster did not have flood insurance. Many have lost everything. Items needed include clothing and cleaning supplies, as well as personal hygiene supplies. Our friends at Tea Party Nation will be following up with a list of organizations that are accepting goods and supplies and where they can be sent. We will send a followup email with that information in the coming days.
Finally, take this email and forward it to your email list and also repost this (with approval) on websites where you may be a member.
Nashville is an example of the best of America. When this disaster struck, there was no looting. Instead, neighbor helped neighbor and friend helped friend.
Now, it is our turn to help Nashville.
Thank you for making this movement so great! We are about the people and for the people. I know we can come together and help our friends in Nashville.
Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful Moms in the world. Tomorrow is your day, so take time for your self and enjoy the day!
Thank you for your support. We are so honored and proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with all of you. Together, we can make a difference!
