If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a dozen times — Rush Limbaugh gives the Republicans in Congress a pass. I have yelled at the radio on more than one occasion — “Rush! Tell those damned Republicans to stand up and say something! Do something! Set their hair on fire! Set the Senate and House chambers on fire! Beat those silly-assed Democrats with a cane. March around the Capitol with your own damned Tea Party signs. Call a press conference on the Capitol steps! Filibuster whenever possible. Obstruct!!! SCREAM!!!
WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS?
It seems to me that the only ones with any testicular fortitude at all happen to be women. Go figure. Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin. They’re he-men compared to the boys in the cloakrooms.
Come on Rush! Tell those Republicans — Boehner, McConnell, et al to find their manhood and use it. Shove it right back at them.
Tell them, Rush! Tell them to loosen their ties, get outta the tanning booth and get busy doing their jobs defending us and our country. I don’t want to hear you whine that they’re in the minority… Bullcrap!
But Rush never does.
Oh he blows a good blast, but when it comes down to giving these lily-livered career politicians a sound thrashing?
Admit it, Rush. You aren’t up to it. Oh, you’ll kick some Dem ass, but you won’t give it to the Pubs the same way.
Can you tell I’m chafed about it? That I have a lot of pent-up frustration? I’ve been waiting Rush. Day after day. Waiting for you to set them straight and tell them to act like they have a freaking spine. Day after freaking day. (Hear that drumming sound? It’s my fingers tapping impatiently on the table…)
So when Bob in Belleville, Michigan called you on it Rush, I applauded.

RUSH: Bob in Belleville, Michigan, welcome to the EIB Network, sir. Hello.
CALLER: Rush, dittos. And I — and I’m a staunch conservative Republican. But, boy, am I mad at you. You are missing the boat so far out that you need to be out there with — with the oil rig. Where were the Republicans when this guy was standing in front of him today insulting our country? Why didn’t they get up and walk out? Why didn’t they get up and walk out on this yo-yo?
RUSH: Why are you asking me?
CALLER: They didn’t!
RUSH: How did I miss the boat?
CALLER: I’m asking but you’re giving them one. You never… I’m personally saying, you give the Republicans a pass. I am one. I’m a conservative. You don’t know how many times I’ve yelled and screamed at you on that radio, but you give them a pass every time. Why didn’t they get up and walk out? When they were passing the TARP and all of that other crap that went on, and they’re standing there, “Oh, we didn’t…” Why didn’t they walk out? What did they do when Clinton was in trouble?
RUSH: What…?
CALLER: The Democrats all stood on the steps together as a group and said, “We will follow behind you.” Where are the Republicans doing that to the people of the country? They’re not.
RUSH: What are you doing to help?
CALLER: I’m part of the tea party. I’m talking to you right now, and everybody else I can talk to. And I voted and I vote and I vote as many times and often. I’m in Michigan. (laughing)
RUSH: Yeah, well.
CALLER: My point, Rush, is this. I honestly feel sometimes you give them a pass because you are —
RUSH: This is ridiculous.
CALLER: — so (garbled) with them.
RUSH: This is absolutely ridiculous. This is ridiculous. I don’t know what show you’re listening to.
CALLER: I’ve listened to you for years.
RUSH: It renders irrelevant everything else you’re saying. I give the Republicans a pass? Go ask Karl Rove or George W. Bush about that. Go ask Mitch McConnell about it.
CALLER: Why? Why?
RUSH: You know, you’re very good at whining and complaining while you sit out there and do this and demand the Republicans do that, do this. I’m off the deep end? I called them “fearful.” I chastised them for joining in a standing O a couple times! I don’t know what you’re listening to. But even so, is that the measure: Being willing to criticize Republicans? My primary focus here is saving the country. My primary focus here is focusing the blame where it belongs — and, frankly, sir, whether the Republicans stand up and walk out is irrelevant. That’s not gonna change what Obama and his regime are doing. It’s not going to help an election, it’s not going to cause any change or make any difference whatsoever except to satisfy armchair people like you who want to see some sort of action that you’re not willing to take yourself.
The guy from Michigan is right, Rush is and has been way too lenient when it comes to the lilly livered Republicans in this Congress.
Rush said it would have done no good for them to walk out or do anything. What??? Well in the first place it would have shown not only the socialist dems, that they didn`t have to sit by and listen to that garbage and it would have shown the American people and their own constituants that they actually care and have a pair.!
At least do SOMETHING in protest..!!

Right on! How many times I have done the same thing, yell at the TV and radio, “Republicans in DC, where are you?” No balls, just letting the women talk for them.

Talk Radio needs to stop being nothing more than therapy.The issues people to call in and voice their complaint about what the politicians are going to do,months later is the same isue that complaining about they’ve done. Rush Limbaugh is not an elected official. He is a self admitted entertainer. His goal is a large audience. It has been my observation that talk radio hosts who do nothing but scream and rant grow tiresome. Rush does an excellent job of balancing humor, economic education, and political commentary.
If you want to really rip someone you do it in a quite voice, and he has done that.
If you think you can do a better job than Rush, do it. But you can’t can you. You are too lazy to even switch to another station or turn the radio off and read something. I`m sorry, have you heard of the Tea Partys? Did you know we call, fax, e-mail, knock on the doors of these idiots. We have stomred Washington 3 million strong, we have gone directly to them at the Capitol and let them know to shape up or we will ship them out in November….all apparently to no avail. If Limbaugh isn`t going to chastise these girly men,when they need it, then he should talk about other subjects other than politics.

Well, I don’t think I’ll yell at Rush to loud just yet! I’ve been listening to him for over 2 decades, and I have heard him on many occasions getting on the Pubs for doing nothing, and in particular of late, nailing the moderates “fence sitters” for trying to wine and dine the liberals, i.e. with hands across the aisle attempting to garner “approval” from the Dems [for whatever reason]. Rush has always slammed the “country club” crowd as cowards. but I must say, he did give them credit for standing their ground on ObamaKare – not one Pub voted for the healthcare bill! I agree with the caller that the congressional Pubs need to have their crouches checked for substance, but I’m not sure that is Rush’s job. On this very topic of getting the Pubs to stand up and fight, I have written to every single Pub in the senate and asked them to stand together and not vote to approve Kagan. If there is one thing they can do to show the American people that they will not be let down, is for the Pubs to vote en masse against Kagan. Just because Stevens is a liberal does not reserve his seat for another liberal, or something even worse, like Socialist Elena Kagan. The Pubs need to give the Dems exactly what the Dems gave George Bush’s nominees, nothing but grief!!
I have done some yelling myself – for decades. I listen to the talk show hosts to get info and on a good day, get some laughs. But I learned long ago that depending on a person on the radio or TV to save us is not the way to go. We can only save this country ourselves.
I also realized that not everyone is a political junkie like me and too many in this country haven’t been paying attention – until 2008. They’ve been busy with jobs and kids and living responsible lives. I’ve talked to too many people who just watch the news thinking that it was the truth of what was going on and go no further in getting information and have no clue as to what’s going on up on The Hill.
I have to tell you, seeing people standing together in groups, at rallies, on Capitol Hill, quoting the Bill of Rights and The Constitution is something I never thought I’d see in my lifetime. I have great hope for our country because of the Tea Party folks and the others who are now paying attention. Plus remember, we have a new generation of Combat Vets coming home – our kids who have lived more life in 3-4 years than most of those in this country live in a lifetime. They also have seen, up close and personal, what NO LIBERTY looks like. Many of them are going into politics and others are becoming teachers, because they have found out that the PC BS that they were taught in school is just that – PC BS.
It would be great to have Rush or any of the other popular radio people say outloud what we’re all screaming at our TVs or at rallies. Maybe it will happen. But until then, we must continue the fight ourselves. Just as our kids in uniform do – every damn day.
