Five hundred out-of-control wildfires devouring thousands of square miles of the countryside have left the hunky and hot-looking Vlad in even hotter circumstances.
Ralph Peters writes:
This conflagration makes California’s annual blazes look like Boy Scout campfires. The fires have consumed entire villages and ravaged the critical wheat harvest; now they threaten a key nuclear-weapons-research facility. A huge naval logistics base burned — along with 200 helicopters and planes.
But the reputation of Russia’s new czar, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, may have been scorched worst of all.
A friend recently turned me on to a fascinating interview at American Political Roundtable’s “The Public Square” done with Oleg Kalugin, a retired former KGB Maj. General who discussed his career, Vladimir Putin, recruiting spies in America, and the behind-the-scenes geopolitics that drive Russia in a five part interview: “Inside the KGB: Interview with Oleg Kalugin”, author of The First Directorate. Interviews were conducted by Dave Zinnoti, Wayne Shepard, Sterling Glover, and Melanie Sanders.
The Public Square also conducted another fascinating interview with Iraqi General Georges Sada, #2 ranking Iraqi AF Vice Air Marshall for Saddam Hussein. It was the most downloaded interview, according to The Public Square.
Earlier last week, Glenn Beck mentioned this man on his TV program — Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The Public Square does an interview with Eric Metaxas, author of BONHOEFFER: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy — A Righteous Gentile vs. the Third Reich about this remarkable Christian pastor and spy who stood alone in the face of unspeakable evil in Nazi Germany.
Many more excellent interviews can be found at The Public Square. I highly recommend it, and thank my friend NH, the “low tech redneck”, for pointing me to this site for smart people and those who strive to be.
