“Ain’t it funny how many hundreds of thousands of soldiers we can recruit with nerve. But we just can’t find one politician in a million with backbone.” –American humorist Will Rogers (1879-1935)

My inbox is full this morning with comments and opinions (is that a redundancy?) about last night’s State of the Union address to the Congress and the nation by the suspected Usurper in Chief. I didn’t watch it.  I was hosting my radio show, and did my own “state of the union” address.  Much better.

Partisan bovine scatology.

Glossing over the elephant in the room (two wars and an escalating Iran situation)

…did not make one single mention of inflation

Belly Laugh of the Week – The BIG Lie: “We may have differences in policy, but we all believe in the rights enshrined in our Constitution.” –Barack Obama

“When Democrats accuse Republicans of hateful speech, you might notice that they never supply specific examples. On the other hand, Steny Hoyer (D-MD) made this generalization about millions of Tea Party members: ‘My presumption is that they have unhappy families.’ My presumption is that Mr. Hoyer is very presumptuous. But if millions of decent, patriotic Americans are unhappy, perhaps it’s because louts like Hoyer are doing everything they can to destroy the country.” — columnist Burt Prelutsky

The rest of the President’s speech made it very clear that he has no idea what makes America the best place on earth to do business.

“However, what was missing from Obama’s  flowery but convoluted speech was any mention of the more than two dozen police fatalities and numerous law enforcement casualties,” said former NYPD detective Mike Snopes. “Did anyone in the White House think about inviting the families of fallen officers to the State of the Union?”

Holy Moley! The reaction from Morning Joe except for Howard Dean is “flat”.
When you hear them talk “substance” vs the “optics” on MSNBC that tell you that this is an epic fail.

How bad does it have to be when even MSNBC can’t spin it as a win.

It really was flat. And the slobber crowd – half of them couldn’t even fake it. –  El Rushbo
