TCM was running 31 Days of Oscars last month in the lead up to last Sunday night’s Hollywood self-love fest. On the night before, the movie channel aired — appropriately enough in advance of the Academy Awards cum Charlie Sheen event — “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. Watch this video. This is what it must have been like during the Salem witch hysteria. Horrifying.
As life imitates art, we’re seeing something similar taking place in the state capitols of Wisconsin, Ohio, and Kansas. Only instead of the mistreated inmates, it is the Nurse Ratcheds who are the crazy people. The Nurse Ratcheds, as represented by the union thugs and lobotomized useful idiots who have taken over the state capitol building and threaten everyone not “for the cause”.
