~*~***~*~
Many of you answered our invitation to write a personal note to former First Lady Nancy Reagan expressing your feelings about her and President Ronald Reagan on the occasion of his 100th birthday anniversary.
As a result, we prepared 45 pages in a presentation folder, a beautiful collection of your sentiments sent to Mrs. Reagan last month via her friend and ours, Burt Boyar. The package contained heartfelt messages, essays, and photographs from Americans all over the country.
Today I received a lovely note from Nancy Reagan that I want to share with all of you. Inserted inside an envelope bearing the US Postal Service’s newly issued Ronald Reagan Forever stamp, on cream colored personalized stationery she wrote:
“…I have read each and every message, and I am moved beyond words by the kind tributes your listeners wrote for Ronnie — and for me.
On the 100th anniversary of his birth, I am so gratified by the warmth and love that people all over the country have shown for my husband. Thank you for your part in making sure these lovely messages were delivered to me.”
Sincerely,
Nancy Reagan
The thanks deservedly goes to all of you who took the time to write your sentiments. I want to also take this opportunity to offer my gratitude to our dear friend Burt Boyar who put his own personal business aside to cheerfully serve as messenger, wasting no time ensuring that Mrs. Reagan promptly had the package in hand.

Congratulations on a job well done, Andrea!
I was very gratified to see the numbers of Americans who responded with such touching, heartfelt messages. It was really an honor to have facilitated the projected!
