Republican union cash kings cave on NLRB vote

The House of Representatives passed Rep. Tim Scott’s, R-S.C., bill prohibiting the National Labor Relations Board from “ordering any employer to close, relocate, or transfer employment under any circumstance.” The legislation is aimed at punishing the National Labor Relations Board for its attempt to stop Boeing from opening a factory in South Carolina.

The bill passed 238 – 186 with seven Republicans voting to protect the NLRB. All seven have taken cash from big labor:

Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick, R-Pa.: $142,000

Rep. Chris Gibson, R-N.Y.: $15,000

Rep. Michael Grimm, R-N.Y.: $58,000

Rep. Steven LaTourette, R-Ohio.: $1,200,000

Rep. David McKinley, R-Wash.: $70,000

Rep. Patrick Meehan, R-Pa.: $56,000

Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska: $1,400,000
