City councilwoman: “Whatever we can use, we will” to take down Obama signs

Some signs depicting Obama in a less than positive light are drawing a lot of attention in a New Orleans suburb.  One of four erected on private property by a homeowner obviously not enamored of Obama shows the White House occupant in a diaper with the words: “It’s not my fault! Change me, I stink”.

After getting complaints about the signs, the city councilwoman who represents the homeowner’s district says she will do whatever it takes to have the signs taken down.

“We have to determine that there is a zoning law that prohibits perhaps the size of the sign, perhaps the way that it’s erected, that it is leaning over onto public property,” Guidry said. “Whatever we can use, we will, but of course, we do have to balance that with First Amendment rights.”
