On my way to the beach there is a copse of trees that are just now bearing their annual “Christmas” decorations — gorgeous, bright red bulb shaped berries that remind me of the old-fashioned lights we used to hang on our Christmas tree.
I have tried to identify the tree and its berries, but so far, have yet to come up with an answer.
Can you?
Could it be some type of coffee tree? Don’t taste the berries till you have identified it.
It grows wild. The berries are fleshy.
