Northeast Blue Blood GOP egghead elite?

I am so OVER the Bush dynasty, much in the same way many were about the Kennedys. Done. Fini. Exit stage right. The least of them — Jebbie — was our governor here in Florida for too long — I call him “Mister Terri Schiavo” for the spineless stance he took in preventing that innocent woman’s murder by starvation. Ugh. How does he sleep at night?  Oh wait, silly me… he’s privileged, and the privileged don’t bother themselves with inconvenient details.  These aristocrats have “people” who take care of those… uncomfortable things.

Here’s a piece written by Judson Phillips over at Tea Party Nation. He asks “Who the hell is George H W Bush anyway?”  Here, let me take a stab at answering that:  “41” is the ultimate egghead, gold plated member of the GOP Establishment Elite Ruling Class.  How’s that?

Do you remember George H.W. Bush?

He is the forgotten President, squished in between the Greatest President, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.   He’s the guy who blew the Reagan legacy.

The funniest part of all is that he thinks Republicans are still dying to listen to this one term wonder.

In an interview with Parade Magazine, the Granddaddy of the RINO’s, Mr. Read My Lips, weighed in on Grover Norquist and his Taxpayer Protection Pledge.

Bush, who famously broke his word on no new taxes and went from a 90% approval rating to losing the election a little over a year later said those types of pledges should be ignored.

Bush said, ““The rigidity of those pledges is something I don’t like. The circumstances change and you can’t be wedded to some formula by Grover Norquist. It’s — who the hell is Grover Norquist, anyway?”

Who the hell is George H.W. Bush?

He’s the guy who called the strategy that Ronald Reagan used to bring America back, “Voodoo economics.”

George H.W. Bush is the last guy the Republicans should be listening to.

The GOP has been listening to the RINO wing of the party since the days of Reagan.  What has that gotten us?   In case they have not been paying attention, the last Republican to win a landslide on his own was Reagan.  Bush won big in 88 because he was Reagan’s VP.  On his own, he crashed and burned.  That same wing gave us Bob Dole and John McCain. Those were spectacular successes.  Even George W. Bush, who had the common sense to claim to be a conservative, was only able to eek out narrow wins against second-rate opponents.

When Republicans run as conservatives, Republicans win.  When Republicans do things like promise they will not raise taxes and will cut spending, provided they actually live up to their word, they win big time.

There is an old saying, “If you cannot be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.”

George H.W. Bush should be the GOP’s horrible warning of what not to do.
