Last night’s attempt to launch SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy was a no-go just a few seconds prior to lift-off, as Mission Control issued an abort command, and moments later deemed the launch scrubbed until tonight (Thursday) when they’ll try to “light the candle” again, same time (11:04p EDT), with a 99-minute window of opportunity thereafter if it doesn’t go off at the mark.
Still, it was nice being on the beach at that hour to wait in eager anticipation for the rumble and brightness lighting up the dark sky, only partially lit by a half moon.
So SpaceX will try again tonight from Launch Pad 39-A (LC-39A) and we’ll be there, fingers “X’d” that all goes as planned.
