Friends of mine recently brought home a new family member, a Golden Retriever puppy they’ve named “Rush”.
“Rush” was just a “lovable little fur ball” when they chose him from the litter – the biggest of 11 pups. (Pity poor Mama!!! Respect to Limbaugh!)
That’s “Rush” second from left below.

By Thanksgiving “Rush” had received his inoculations and was ready to go home.
This is “Rush” today at 12 weeks, 23 pounds. I don’t know what they’re feeding him but he’s going to be huge, likely to exceed 74 pounds when full grown, according to my friend.

Typical puppy, he’s chewing on everything, including her!

“He’s got huge bone structure- his front legs are really thick,” she said.
Another friend of mine’s companion / BFF (Best Friend Forever) is an Aussie Shepherd named “Hirohito”.
Meet “Hiro”, the canniest canine I’ve ever known. He’s so intelligent it’s scary! When he gazes at me, I swear he sees into my soul.

I was once told that dogs are God’s proof that He loves us.
I don’t doubt it.
Was there ever a more loyal friend to man?
Man’s best friend…

I have had 3 Goldens in my life. I used to think they were so smart. Well I am on my second Border Collie, Wow you talk about intelligence. Dogs are truly wonderful companions.
DOGS RULE!!
We’ve had Samoyeds and Malamutes…we always kept them with us…we have our latest Malamute now…talk about smart and knowing what you are thinking—AMAZING!!
Border Collies are so smart. They seem to win most of the agility contests, frisbee contests, herd all the cattle— I think they actually have reasoning ability.
However, my three dachshunds were pretty smart too. My last one knew Soooo many words. We lost her to old age (18) in August. She was so precious to me. I WILL hopefully get another this year.
I love most dogs.. they ARE our best friends on earth.
Arf! Arf! (whimper whimper) Arf! Arf!
