I’ve decided not to run for re-election to the Senate in 2026.
This job has been the honor of a lifetime. For the rest of my term, I’ll work as hard as I can for Minnesotans and our country.
Thank you so much, Minnesota. pic.twitter.com/3sWVib8nKJ

@DOGE audits have anything to do with you leaving?
33 senate seats up midterm 2026 – 20 republican and 13 democrat. We can Oust some RINOs and pick up a few dem seats as well.
Wow wow. The Democrat Senate incumbents are running for the hills for 2026 midterms. That’s Michigan and Minnesota down
Oh, what a dramatic exit! “The honor of a lifetime”—as if every single day in the Senate wasn’t spent having to dodge reporters while pretending to understand what’s happening. But hey, don’t worry, folks, for the next two years, they’ll be working “as hard as I can,” which we can only assume means rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic until the clock hits zero. Don’t forget to send a thank-you card to Minnesota, though, because apparently they get to hold the ceremonial ‘thanks for nothing’ party!

When the smoke clears about 80 percent of the Senate and House will be vacant. There will be an enormous vacay at all levels of government, organizations and businesses will fail, judges will fall.
