Learning the New Testament – the new COVENANT – liberated me from the fear and condemnation so many place upon themselves based on how they read the above cited verse(s) from Genesis.
Ah but don’t take it from me.
Take it from Paul. Paul – the person God via Christ raised up. He chose a murderer of Christians – a Jewish Pharisee, a Roman Citizen, a Hebrew of Hebrews – to become the greatest Apostle. Interesting that HE (God) chose a Hebrew – a teacher of the Law – to spread a vastly radical Salvation. So radical that the Apostles in Jerusalem argued with him.
But I digress.
A comfortable reading of Romans, chapters 9, 10 and 11 shows what/how Paul viewed Genesis 12. That, and Galatians 3 – SHOULD be sufficient for Christians.
