A Day in the Life of Andrea Shea King – Vol.I

Yesterday the postman delivered my Merrill Lynch retirement account statement… however, like most monthly statements that arrive, I don’t have the heart to open them immediately.

So this morning I girded my loins, sucked it up, and reached for the letter opener.  But I had a decision to make depending on the outcome of my account balance.  Should I brew a pot, or pull a cork?  I would start my day either with a cup of coffee, or a glass of merlot. And I don’t mean a celebratory glass either.

Am I the only one faced with this monthly dilemma?

  1. I find it best not to worry about it. The stock market is responding better than the economy. That should tells that they are not being honest with us as it is an oxymoron. I keep reminding myself that the markets are now controlled by rich overseas investors that are controlling every move. I just go a long for the ride and watch how the market responds daily. We have regained 68 percent of the loss from a year ago. Other than pull everything out there is nothing you can do about it anyway.

  2. Retirements Funds down as Social Security has cut back and the clock is ticking to its end. Will the young visionaires hope of the 1960s be the dream they were promise in their reitrment?
