Glenn Beck talks about “outing” of SC Sen. Lindsey Graham

Glenn Beck began his second hour today talking about the video of William Gheen “outing” Sen. Lindsey Graham.  Beck says it makes him uncomfortable to watch it.  If someone is gay, that’s his business, he says, because he doesn’t think it defines a person.

William Gheen joined us on my radio program last night, explaining why he “outed” the South Carolina senator. Listen to it here:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/askshow/2010/04/22/the-andrea-shea-king-show  )

“They’re people”, Beck says, referring to homosexuals.  “However,” he says he “wouldn’t ever touch this topic,” except that there is a lesson in this.

Then he brought up William Gheen, saying he’s not a hate monger, and that he thought he might have had him on his show before. Then he launched into his thoughts on the “outing” matter:

A.  You don’t do that

B.  If it’s true, I feel bad for Lindsey Graham, because he’s outed.  And I don’t like Lindsey Graham!  If it’s not true, I feel bad for Lindsey Graham for (being outed for) what, political reasons?

With that being said, this guy does bring up a point that I have made about you in your life, but definitely in Washington.  You wonder why more people don’t stand up?  It’s because most people are hiding something.

Glenn riffed on Alcoholics Anonymous and how the anonymity probably isn’t necessary anymore.

“We’re beyond that.  Once you start playing your cards face up, no one has any power over you. You know have the ultimate power, and you have nothing left to lose, nothing left to protect or hide. No matter who you are, everyone has something they’re hiding in their life.

Place your cards face up on the table and then no one can hold anything against you.

Dogs can smell fear, and so can people, especially predators that prowl around Washington.  So bring them out, cure the problem, otherwise they can use it against you.

After a commercial break, Beck played the audio of William Gheen at last Saturday’s Greenville, SC Tea party.

Pat Gray set it up, explaining that this is William Gheen making a very impassioned speech about immigration, and one of the people he brought up was Lindsey Graham.

Beck said he agreed with the part where Gheen said that you cannot be hiding a secret.

If you’re having an affair, you think someone couldn’t use that against you?

Beyond that, the audience surprises me.  I’ve never heard this before.  So this crowd obviously knew it.  I didn’t hear any gasps.  But the last point I want to make on this, is that really the most likely thing to make Lindsey Graham “sell out his country?”

There are many Repubs and Americans who understand that if you don’t solve this immigration problem, you will not have another Republican in office for the next 60 years.

Rooted in principles and values and things that are absolutely true, if its not done right, the situation on the border will destroy the Republican party.  You have to be able to  make sure it’s clear that it’s not hate… what people who are just politicians, and I think Graham is… I think what he’s thinking is this:  ‘We can’t lost this, Republicans!’

I think he’s wrong in his approach and I think he’s a progressive.  I have no love for Lindsey Graham.  None whatsoever. But I think that’s more likely than a skeleton in his closet.

But this is the lesson to take away from this:

Don’t keep anything in that closet.  You got something in there, let it out.  Because if you don’t, they can use it against you.

The Freepers have something to say:

Glenn’s covering the speech at the Tea Party I attended this past Saturday…the context of the speech is being missed here…the idea was that Lindsey Graham needs to admit if he is gay and get the monkey off his back as it were…in other words, is his being gay being used as blackmail against him to keep him voting as the closet wants him to!

***

Exactly…I doubt it would matter to 90% of those voting in SC but it is the “vote for us or we will out you” that scares the most of us.

***

Yeah. I can’t stand Lindsay, but not because he may or may not be light in the loafers…he’s just plain wrong on most things.

***

I wish I could get through to Glenn and give him information on that speech! Believe me, Bush, Graham, etc. were all raked over the coals (try me@glennbeck dot com)

***

really?

Glenn missed that?

funny— that is exactly what I heard Glenn say the guy meant…

In fact— Glenn mentioned that he had not heard that rumor….and he thought Lindsey was motivated by politics for Republicans…

But he explained he agreed with the guy that if there is anything to hide- he must come clean….we all must..

  1. I think most people are live and let live type of people. As Christians we are taught not to condemn the thorn in someones eye rather remove the log in our own. Unfortunately, we have elevated to a new dimension that has been totally brought own by the far left in their low ball dirty tactics, anything goes, mentality to redefine our country. God did not forgive he Israelites when Moses delivered the ten commandments to find they were worshiping golden calves. Instead he ordered over 5000 killed for their action. We must win back this country before we can correct the deficiencies. While I admire Glenn’s reasoning, we must clear the brushes to find the new road. Had the mainstream media, to also include Fox News, done their job of investigating and reporting, we would not be in this delima. It is a proven fact that Obama is at minimum bi-sexual. While I too do not normally criticize people for their sexual agenda this is a case that is rapidly proving to be a thorn in the side of our Constitution and our freedom. It is time we call “the kettle black” and let the chips fall where they may. Gheen is a patriot merely exposing the truth. Sometimes the truth will hurt.

    1. You really had me going there for a minute with the whole Christian forgiveness thing. But then you write, “It is a proven fact that Obama is at minimum bi-sexual.” Gosh Mr. Neuenschwander, I certainly hope you’ll clear the air on this fact as part of your upcoming Presidential bid. I trust you’ll also be upfront about the fact that on Feb. 7 of this year you were arrested, charged and fined $150.00 for performing lewd sex acts with a local goat. Since I notice you assume our trust regarding your ‘facts’, citing no reference or source for your assertion, I trust you won’t mind if I let this fact stand on its own merit. Good day, sir, and my sympathies to any farm animals you run across.

      1. We know from at least three sources that Obama had homosexual acts from members of his church and Larry Sinclair. He has never refuted these and in fact the other two gentlemen ended up dead just after the story was exposed. I would suppose one would have actually had to have sex with a goat to come up with such a statement as yours. God bless the goat. By-the-way, I hope you can provide your proof when I sue you for defamation of character. There is one thing to state public knowledge and another to fabricate a story to defame someone which is what you have done in your statement claiming an event took place on a specific date and and expose of that event which you know is false. I have your ip address which will provide me your name and address. How does a couple of million dollars sound. You think your bank account can withstand it?

        1. And I notice you don’t directly refute a relationship with goats. You and I both know that to refute every patently ridiculous claim against Obama (or me or you) would itself be a ridiculous waste of time. Such claims are nothing more than mean-spirited rumor mongering and I believe that most of the leaders who perpetuate this war of innuendo actually know better. And in the same breath you threaten to sue me, you seem to actually suggest that Obama is guilty of murdering two people, or causing them to be murdered. “He has never refuted these and in fact the other two gentlemen ended up dead just after the story was exposed.” A little less Beck, a little more reality. You are, as they say, entitled to your own opinions, but you are not entitled to your own facts.
