While the nutroots were across the street holding their own conference featuring Minnesota Joker Sen. Al “I found more ballots in a trunk” Franken, here at the RightOnline conference the other and better Minnesota representative Michele Bachmann rallied the activists, raised the roof, called out the troops, took no prisoners and gave goosebumps during her 30- minute keynote speech at the conference dinner earlier this evening.
Usually I take notes, but tonight I sat spellbound, listening to every word. She got so many standing ovations I lost count. She pulled no punches and let it fly.
“We’re not just electing Republicans. We’re electing constitutional conservatives.” She called the tea party the greatest movement in modern times and said she’d like to repeal almost everything, and predicted President Obama is a one-term president.
“Eighteen months ago private business was owned by the public, now two-thirds is owned by the government.”
Among the 1100 or so in the audience were John McJunkin of Avalon Podcasting; Jon Gabriel of ExUrbanLeague.com; Chad MacDonald of NumbersUSA; Curtis Sliwa of The Guardian Angels and 970 Talk of New York; David Jaget of RightNetwork.com; Lorie Byrd of Wizbang; Caleb Howe of RedState; Kim Priestap of Wizbang and Kim Priestap.com.
Earlier we heard from Indiana US Sen. Mike Pence who also delivered a strong message to the assembled attendees. Watch the video here.
