- Did Shirley Sherrod resign so quickly because the circumstances of her hiring and the lawsuit settlement with her organization that preceded it might expose some unpleasant truths about her possible and possibly sanctioned conflicts of interest?
- Is USDA worried about the exposure of possible waste, fraud, and abuse in its handling of Pigford?
- Did USDA also dispatch Sherrod hastily because her continued presence, even for another day, might have gotten in the way of settling Pigford matters quickly?
It kinda looked to me like Mr. Sherrod was giving his racist, politically-oriented speech from the podium of a CHURCH.
Oh, I forgot, it’s OK to do that if the speech is from the Left.
And, one need not even be Black to enjoy the class-privileges of the double-standard. Consider the examples of Al Gore, or my 2006 opponent for Congress, Jim Cooper. Both of them have spoken repeatedly from the pulpits of predominantly-Black churches. (But, I didn’t see the IRS shut down any of those churches.)
Compare that to the treatment given to the church that allowed a retired Army three-star general to say, in reference to Muslim terrorists, “Our God is bigger than their god.” Or the case of the Landmark Church, which was shut down by years of IRS harassment, after that church took out a newspaper ad that said, “A vote for Bill Clinton is a sin against God.”
OK, I’ll get off my soapbox now, and shuffle on back to the rear of the bus where I apparently belong. (It’s getting crowded back here, because the MAJORITY in this country still hold CONSERVATIVE values.)
By the way, would the FCC grant a community radio station license to a group led by someone that stood up in a church and said, “We must stop the Black man,” hmmmmmm??? (And, no, I’m not advocating that anyone should. I’m only illustrating the pervasive double-standard.)

I have now heard two versions of S Sherrod’s Dad getting shot, back in the sixty’s One version He was shot by a neighbor WHITE Farmer over cows on the wrong pasture. Second, later someone asked wasn’t he killed by the KKK. I listened to a video on Morning Joe.. this video is on Msnbc Joe Scarbourgh show I believe a few days ago she was in the studio with them. It left me with more question, She had a diff story about the three phone calls. Also said she knew about the video a week before and was getting threatning e-mails???
Eldest Sherrod son named Kenyatta, presumably for Jomo Kenyatta, an African communist from Kenya, member of the Kenyan African Union (communists), banned after Mau Mau uprising, then Jomo became ‘father of modern Kenya’, meaning prime minister of first Kenyan SOCIALIST government.
They named their son after a famous African communist, from Obama’s homeland of Kenya… remember, not long ago Obama was over there meddling in their elections, stumping on behalf of the modern communist candidate there.
But it gets worse–
Their daughter is named RUSSIA.. she was named BEFORE the wall came down, so it must be inferred, given their son’s name, that their daughter was named to commemorate the Soviet Union.
These people are PURE COMMUNISTS. And ideological kin to Michelle and BHO.
I recall a certain Bill Klintoon once went to Moscow while studying at Oxford. Wouldn’t go to Moscow while a student in the USA, but it was okay to go there from England so nobody American would notice. I also recall that when Clinton signed an act (motor voter?) the first two hands he shook on the podium were CLOWARD AND PIVEN’s. In the flesh, in the 1990s, not just the sixties.
