[In a dark corner of cyberspace I came across this interview with a “radical rightwing Israeli academic,” Moshe Sharon. It’s certainly not the kind of material one finds in responsible media outlets in the USA, Europe or Israel for that matter. The thing of it is, though, the interview is over 8 years old which means there’s a good chunk of history that we can measure it against. Now, wouldn’t it be fun to go back and read what the sages of the Washington Post and the New York Times were saying over this period of time and compare it to this professor’s “extremist” prognostications, then decide who really came closest to reality? It shouldn’t take long to discover that it’s David Ignatius and Thomas Friedman who are actually the nutty professors on this subject. df]
