Right Haven has sued to death a blog called The Armed Citizen, a non-commentary non-editorial re-publishing service which specialized in stories gathered from local press about incidents in which gun ownership and use either stopped or prevented crimes. Its purpose was solely to counter the dimwitted narrative that ‘guns in the public domain make things way more dangerous for everyone’. There was almost a new story each day of someone, somewhere in America, defending themselves, their families or property against really awful people doing really awful things.
Right Haven used a content suit to shut down The Armed Citizen and deprive its readers of information to use in the battle against the gun control lefties.
The blog did not abuse the stories in any way. It didn’t even edit them, just republishing what newspapers and news sites had already published, and summarizing local TV and radio pieces it was aware of. Informing people, without added commentary, by republishing news.
Drudge Report, anyone?
I’ll wager Drudge no longer uses anything they have control over. But The Armed Citizen is not run by someone with money, hence it has shut down.
“Left Haven” is more like it. The effort to silence people they don’t agree with continues apace by the left.
