In an interview with POLITICO, West signaled that he’s not completely ready to embrace the GOP establishment – and he dismissed the highly touted “Pledge to America” agenda as more “rah rah” and “boilerplate” from Washington Republicans.
“If John Boehner is speaker, I’m going to hold his feet to the fire,” West said in an interview at the PGA National Hotel and Resort. “And I think that’s important. And that’s what people are expecting of me down here.”
West is part of an anti-establishment wave that could very well produce a Speaker Boehner but could also present a whole new set of challenges for Republicans who hope to govern the House.

West’s primary opponent, the REPUBLICAN PARTY primary that is, has now endorsed Ron Klein, the DEMOCRAT.
He says West has proven himself professionally and personally unreliable or some such. I believe he is at least in part speaking of what West did with that terrorist and his pistol, an act for which I SALUTE Col. West and which generated undying loyalty for him among his troops.
His Republican primary opponent is neither conservative nor decent. He is like Crist, somebody who ultimately belongs on the left side of the aisle, where principle and decency cannot follow and are not welcome.
THE SOONER WE CAN GET THOSE B@$TERDS SHIFTED OVER TO THE LEFT SIDE, the sooner we can get about the business of repairing the damage to the ship of state. Guys like that are like holes in the hull.
