I wasn’t even thru my first cup of coffee this morning when I was moved to tears of pride at the story of young Cody Alicia of Sacramento, CA, who was accompanied by a phalanx of flag-waving Patriot Guard Riders on his way to school the other day.
Are you familiar with this story? If you aren’t, you need to be. It’s a heartbreaking example of where we are as a country — divided and under assault by those whom Lenin would have called “Useful Idiots” who haven’t the first clue or appreciation for our country and the precious gift they’ve been given to live in it. Fools. Or worse.
Cody rides his bicycle to school, and for the past couple of months has flown our national flag from the bike’s rear fender. Cody’s school administrators told him to stop because they said it could end up in a bad situation for him. Evidently last spring, the Mexican kids at the school (no doubt many of them illegals) flew their Mexican flags during Cinquo de Mayo, and it created a disturbance.
The Denair School’s decision to make Cody stop riding with his flag waving did NOT sit well with Americans across the nation who rained hell down on the school for its decision. Wisely, the school administrator retracted its decision. Ask me? I think whoever told the boy “no flag” should be fired. No ands, buts, or ifs.

Ya know, ya gotta love bikers! They have heart — and it’s usually patriotic! This is a heartwarming story with a good ending. I hope young Cody flies his flag right up to his last living breath and I hope that’s many, many decades in the future.

You go young man – I support your fortitude, your ambition, your patriotism, believe in yourself, what our country stands for, and God !
You go Cody . It is your God given rite to wave OUR U.S. flag in our OWN UNITED STATES of AMERICA . Nobody can tell you you can’t fly OUR flag . Shame on you Sacramento school admin. for trodding all over a childs rite to fly , wave or show OUR flag for support and for the pride of OUR country . Millions have died for that flag or have you forgotten ? The only reason you all backtracked your words was because of a lot of supporters backed the boy up and for fear of a lawsuit that the Sacramento schools would lose . teachers and the schools need to keep their noses out of where they CLEARLY don’t belong .
