We open this week’s HFR with a Special News Bulletin from the Associated Press:
In response to the “Cablegate” scandal – the release of a quarter-million classified State Department documents by WikiLeaks – the US Government announced today that henceforth all Top Secret government documents will be placed in an “ultimate” secure location.
“This location is so secure that even people with the highest of clearances cannot gain access,” said R.J. Finklestein, Director of the Federal Document Classification Agency (FDCA) in a press release today.
All classified documents, Mr. Finklestein announced, will now be stored at the same location storing Barack Hussein Obama’s Birth Certificate, College Transcripts, SSN applications, and off-shore campaign contributors list.
“Using our Ultimate Secure Location, we are quite sure that WikiLeaks will never be able to access any more classified documents,” noted the FDCA director, “nor will anyone else.”

The economy and stock market is facing a meltdown with the largest tax increase in history unless Zero can get Dems in Congress to abandon their hate-the-rich religion, and today (12/03) he’s in… Afghanistan.
This guy is the Compleat European: like most folks in Europe, he doesn’t want to work, he wants to get away from work, to travel and play. He’s not meeting with Karzai – even with the world knowing the truth about Karzai’s gargantuan corruption thanks to WikiLeaks. No, he gets to give away medals, be the C-in-C, ride in Air Force One, and enjoy being His Royal Highness while shirking his real job.
Meanwhile, on the ground in Afghanistan, there is wonderfully good news. In the last 90 days, US and British forces have killed or captured over 3,200 Taliban terrorists, including 387 top-level commanders. As a British commando reports
“We are nailing the Taliban. We are killing and capturing them on an industrial scale… This is not a blanket killing, we are specifically targeting the Taliban leadership… (and) if a new generation of radical Taliban step into these dead men’s shoes, they too will be killed.”
Way to fight a war, folks. I especially liked the “industrial scale” part.
(Re Afghanistan, many of you have asked how my son Brandon is doing and when he’s coming home. He’s fine, he’s proud of the progress his unit has made, and he and his men will be home in a month. He and our entire family is so very appreciative of your prayers. They have really sustained him.)

Then again, the Left doesn’t need any rationale to pursue its Hate-America agenda. If there’s no persuasive excuse, it just exercises raw power. The latest example is Wednesday’s (12/01) announcement that Zero is
continuing to ban offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico for the next five years
There is no real basis or reason provided for the decision. That’s because the real actual reason is to further and massively damage the US economy. This is straightforward on-purpose evil.
You are not going to get a better example of the current President of the United States waging war against his own country. This is treason. Let’s hope the Gulf oil and gas workers and engineers whose livelihoods will be destroyed, and who control the critical chokepoints of America’s energy supply, will take appropriate action.

Back in January 2008, I explained why I’m
no overall admirer of Ron Paul. But there are certain things of his that I sure do admire, such as his advocacy of gold money and his hatred of the Federal Reserve.
Now that the disclosures of the
Fed’s secret loans of trillions
to foreign banks and entities came out this week, it’s going to be fantastic fun to see Ron Paul chair the House Monetary Policy Subcommittee of the Financial Services Committee. That’s the committee that oversees the Fed.
Paul is going to do more than hold hearings and rip Bernanke’s lungs out on the witness stand. He is going to do everything he can to get rid of the Fed’s ability to print money out of thin air and destroy our currency.
Remember, Paul wrote a best-seller,
He wants the Federal Reserve eliminated, a private banking system in its place, and the dollar back on the gold standard. I’m a 100% Paulista on these goals. We should all root for Ron next year.
Everyone’s favorite Mama Grizzly in the House is Congresswoman
She provided a quintessential reason why yesterday (12/02), by saying there should be an “insurrection” against her party’s leadership if they don’t quickly allow a vote “to repeal Obamacare lock, stock, and barrel.”
None of this weasel “repeal and replace” garbage your hear from the Pub leadership for Michele – for “replace” means “Obamacare lite,” and she wants the whole thing trashed.
But, but, but, the weasels say, we can’t repeal it, for even if we vote to do so, Obama will veto the repeal and there’s no way to override his veto.
That’s a strong argument, not to be dismissed. Let’s take a closer look, though. Two-thirds of both chambers have to vote to override a presidential veto, a high bar: 287 in the House, 67 in the Senate.
The 112th will have 242R/193D in the House, 47R/53D in the Senate – so even if all Pubs vote yes, it will still take 45 House Dems and 20 Senate Dems for the override. That’s steep. Yet, yet…
Every one of those 193 House Dems plus 23 Senate Dems will be up for re-election in 2012 – and they all know that passing Obamacare was the single issue most responsible for their demolition on Nov 2nd. Voting No to override a Zero veto of Obamacare repeal will doom a lot of them in 2012. Voting Yes could improve their electoral chances dramatically.
If this case is made strongly, enough of them could be persuaded. Michele will be pushing the Pub leadership to make the case.
