Meanwhile, here in Florida, State Senator Mike Haridopolos, a Space Coast resident, is considering a run for the US Senate seat currently held by Bill Nelson (D), also from the Space Coast.

The pieces seem to be falling into place for Senate President Mike Haridopolos to make a run for U.S. Senate in 2012.
In an exclusive interview with Sunshine State News, the young Senate president said he’s receiving a lot of encouragement to elevate his senatorial aspirations to the national level. Haridopolos says his wife has already given him the green light

Jeb Bush, once believed to be considering a run for Sen. Bill Nelson’s seat, has indicated he will not enter that race. Haridopolos says Bush, whom he greatly admires, was the only potential obstacle to making a Senate run official.

Haridopolos, 40, may be a strong contender against Sen. George LeMieux for the Republican nomination. As Senate president, he has a strong influence in the Republican Party of Florida and enjoys greater name recognition than many state senators. LeMieux, on the other hand, was appointed by the unpopular and controversial Gov. Charlie Crist to fill out the remaining 16 months of former Sen. Mel Martinez’s term after his resignation. But instead of just acting as a placeholder for Charlie Crist, as many thought he would, LeMieux has been a strong voice against the Obama administration and has developed a following of his own.

LeMieux has been flirting with the idea of running for Nelson’s seat. But he has stopped just short of making an official announcement.

U.S. Rep. Connie Mack and others have also expressed an interest.

An official announcement from Haridopolos may come as soon as next week. He said he wants to focus first on passing in committee a bill he proposed that would allow people to essentially opt out of President Barack Obama’s health care law. That bill is expected to be voted on Wednesday. He claims once that’s behind him, he’ll have a final discussion with his family, make a decision and then an announcement.

  1. While Listening to Cashin – IN on the Fox Business network , with Cheryl Casone , Heather needs to realize that its BIG ANTI-GOVERNMENT BUSINESS thats got Private sector Business sitting on the Side Lines afraid to spend the Trillions they have in hoarding !!!!!! IN 2008 they saw this Democratic Anti-Free Enterprise Wave coming and it scared everyone to the side lines because they did not know what to expect out of the Incoming anti Business Democratic party , they are all about saving the earth from people , you can see it in their legislation

How is it that Obama and the Democrats are better qualified to take tax money from the rich and spread it out to the rest of society when he lied about the shovel ready JOBS ?????

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-no-such-thing-as-a-shovel-ready-job/

Why should we the people trust that Obama and the Democrats are better qualified at passing down the tax money collected rather than the top tax rate class spreading it out to the rest of society , While Obama had the FEDERAL RESERVE bailing out all the Foreign Countries ,with Our tax Money and then Tells us all we need to pay for this Unjust transaction , I saw the Washington Times article on this so Why should we the people be bailing out the Foreign Countries to the tune of 3.3 Trillion and then GET STUCK With the BILL ???

Fed aid in financial crisis went beyond U.S. banks to industry, foreign firms

Plus when the Obama Democratic Congress have Proved that they are JUST as GREEDY and Hoard the Money and pass it out to their FRIENDS and Special Interests , and Obama even came out and Said He Lied about the Shovel Ready JOBS , Heck all that Money went to His Friends , so I would rather take My Chances at trying to get a Job from a Rich Private sector person rather than having to FIT into the Special Interest Class to get a Crum ….. This is why a FLAT TAX SYSTEM Would be the Ultimate CIVIL RIGHTS TAX RATE AGENDA for the USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the EU cannot make the TAX everyone To Death plan work then what Is the USA doing considering this Tax Trend ?????

Maybe we should take a Pro Growth approach rather than this Anti-Growth Direction thats LEFT the EU in even worse Fiscal Shape , and If the FEDERAL RESERVE would Quit Bailing Out everyone in the world and Sticking the USA taxpayer with the Bill it would be closer to economic recovery . I heard Greenspan say everyone needs to Quit picking on the FED this Morning on Squawk BOX and I thought so what he was really saying was Hey American people shut up and quit bellyaching about the FED giving away all the Tax payer money and sticking us with the Bill WOW is that the way Greenspan Thinks ???

Instead of spreading the wealth around, spread this around. It might wake some people up.

If you’ve started to wonder what the real costs of socialism are going to be, once the full program in these United States hits your wallet, take a look at the table. As you digest these mind-boggling figures, keep in mind that in spite of these astronomical tax rates, these countries are still not financing their social welfare programs exclusively from tax revenues! They are deeply mired in public debt of gargantuan proportions. Greece has reached the point where its debt is so huge it is in imminent danger of defaulting. That is the reason the European economic community has intervened to bail them out. If your following the financial news, you know Spain and Portugal are right behind Greece .

The United States is now heading right down the same path. The VAT tax in the table is the national sales tax that Europeans pay. Stay tuned because that is exactly what you can expect to see the administration proposing after the fall elections. The initial percentage in the United States isn’t going to be anywhere near the outrageous numbers you now see in Europe . Guess what, the current outrageous numbers in Europe didn’t start out as outrageous either. They started out as minisculeright around the 1% or 2% where they will start out in the United States . Magically however, they ran up over the years to where they are now. Expect the same thing here.

It is the notion that with hard work and perseverance, anybody can get ahead economically here. Do you think that can ever happen with tax rates between 60% and 80%? Think again. With the government taking that percentage of your money, your life will be exactly like life in Europe . You will never be able to buy a home. You will never buy a car. You will never send your children to college. Lets not shuffle the battle cry of the socialists under the rug either. Its always the same cry. Equalize income. Spread the wealth to the poor (whoever they are). Level the economic playing field. Accomplish that and everything will be rosy.

Its time to take a really hard look at reality. Greece is a perfect example. Despite the socialism system that has ruled this country for decades, with a 65% tax rate, they are drowning in public debt, would have defaulted without hundreds of billions in bailout money, and still. . .20% of their population lives in poverty. What has all that socialism money bought, besides ultimate power for the politicians running the show? Do you think these people are “free”? They’re not. They are slaves to their economic “system.”

Instead of spreading the wealth around, spread this around. It might wake some people up.

  2. It’s apparent that the senate “powers that be” do not plan to have anymore votes on the tax situation. They are pouting like the children they are instead of manning up and getting down to the business of GOVERNING. They wanted it their way or no way, and it looks like WE are the ones who are going to suffer. I agree with the republicans on this issue. The dimocrats (spelled incorrectly on purpose) want to stifle business as much as possible while APPEARING to be advocating FOR the public while they are actually against us. WE should not be raising taxes on ANYBODY when the economy is this bad.
