Arizona passes eligibility bill – will Gov. Brewer sign it?

. . . . .

The Arizona HOUSE and SENATE have passed the Presidential eligibility bill.

Obama will not be on the 2012 ballot unless he can prove that he is constitutionally qualified.

Unless Gov. Jan Brewer vetoes the bill.

“Now is the time to take action. We learned last night that the Governor is making moves that would indicate that she wants to veto the Presidential certification bill. She did this on SB1070, and it was your phone calls that swayed her to supporting that bill. We can do this again, but each of us will be vital in getting this done. Please have everyone you know that would support the bill, regardless of where they live, call in and encourage her to sign it. They can call in this weekend and leave a message at 602-542-1361, referring to HB2177″ — Barbara “Hair on Fire” Espinosa, AZ.

A special thanks to JEFF LICHTER, JUDY BURGESS, REP. CARL SEEL, KELLY TOWNSEND… and to all who supported and fought so hard to do and what was right for America.

Executive Order calling Selected Reserve and Certain Individual Ready Reserve of the Armed Forces to Active Duty

The Executive Order allows the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to add personal in support of targeted functions associated with the humanitarian relief effort in Haiti. For instance, it will allow the activation of reserve medical personnel to replace those deployed on the hospital ship Comfort and allow for the deployment of a Coast Guard unit that will help provide port security.

  3. Are we Under Tyranny in the USA ?????NO Prez is supposed to just use this power so carelessly. In Bush’s whole term, he signed 66 executive orders. Obama has been Prez for a little over 2 years and has already signed 77 executive orders. The Progressive/Communists are pushing Obama to sign more, even orders that he stay in power-indefinitely. He just signed another executive order to ‘keep the White House Czars in power’. This is not Russia, we are not supposed to have Czars. All of that Czarist over-stretch of power began under FDR, the Progressive.

  4. I called my State Senator last week to ask that he introduce a bill similar to this AZ bill. Surprisingly, he spent half an hour or so on the phone with me. But I was boggled when he asked me, “Do you see anyone on the horizon in the republican party that can beat Obama?”
    My response:
“Senator, he cannot win if we require him to show his B.C. and he fails to do so.”
    His response:
    “Hmmmm!”
Call your local representatives and get the ball rolling.

  5. Some what perplexed by the post referring to an executive order that makes minor administrative and procedural changes to the MCM has anything to do with LTC Lakin’s case. If you are referring to the SJA recommendations that specifically refers to the advice an SJA gives to the convening authority after the record of trial has been typed, a clemency hearing has been conducted and prepared and just prior to the convening authority ordering the execution, modification, or setting aside of the sentence. I had the signature authority for the general courts-martial convening authority for Eighth United States Army (EUSA) in Yongsan Army Garrison Seoul, South Korea (95-98). The executive order had nothing to do with Lakin changing his plea to guilty. It was a defense move to try and get a lessor sentence for an obvious guilty finding by the court as he could no longer produce a defense for that particular charge.
