Along the beach path…

. . . . .

Aaaaah, life on the Space Coast.  After putting final touches on this week’s Surfin Safari column for WorldNetDaily, I headed out for a quick walk on the beach. This time I took a different access, one that leads from the road and winds along a sandy path thru a thicket of palms, oaks, and bougainvillea. It’s a beautiful April day here on the Space Coast — 74 for a high, breeze out of the north, and humidity level within the normal range.  Absolutely gorgeous. They don’t come any prettier. It comes at the expense of our neighbors to the north who experienced severe weather, including tornadoes, when a huge frontal system moved through.  We here in Florida were spared, bringing us relief from temps that were hovering in the high 80’s over the past few days.

Meet Mister Peacock, one of a pair of beautiful iridescent plumages that accompanied me on my return from the beach.  I don’t know why our area is home to peafowl (peacocks, peahens and their peachicks) but there is a muster or ostentation of them in Cape Canaveral and south Merritt Island.  They’ve been here longer than I have, and though some folks enjoy them, others say they can be pests, as reported in this TV news piece. I’ve seen albino peacocks, which look like brides when they fan their lace-like tail feathers.  According to one report, the Cape Canaveral flock may have been in the area for more than 150 years, based on records of a peacock farm near the Banana River.

Here’s a short clip taken by someone whose inlaws live in one of the beachside condos.  This vid was taken in March during mating season.

  1. Psalms 144:15 Happy are the people who are in such a state; happy are the people whose God is the LORD!

Just wanted to tell everyone that I am so grateful to have life each day. It was difficult for me to decide who I thought would DO this because many people claim to pray, but not everyone does. I chose the twelve people to send this short prayer. Please send this back to me (you’ll see why). May everyone who received this message be blessed. There are 12 months/ 12 disciples/ 12 tribes of Israel.

There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve others. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost, just a lot of reward.

Make sure you pray, and pray believing God will answer.

“May today be all you need it to be. May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears. May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced.

May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered.

I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God.”

Now send this to 12 people within 5 minutes and remember to send this back…. I count as 2, you’ll see why. (Suggestion: copy and paste rather than forward).

“Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil – it has no point.”
