This spending compromise does not take the Congress off of baseline budgeting, which provides for the endless expansion of government. This compromise raises the debt ceiling with no real meaningful spending cuts. America now lurches further down the road to economic collapse.
John Boehner now acts like the Captain of the Titanic. An iceberg is right ahead and instead of changing course, he is ordering another whisky on the rocks.
