We wrapped up our first rally of the tour this morning at a Jacksonville locale that smelled of cedar and pines. The northern Florida air was chilly but the sun shined brightly as Amy Kremer, chairman of the Tea Party Express, stepped onto a stage quickly assembled by the Kadinger brothers of Wisconsin, who had driven straight through without sleep to meet us at the rallying point.
Our cadre of Tea Party patriots were greeted by members of the First Coast Tea Party. Former Oklahoma Congressman JC Watts joined us to speak on behalf of Newt Gingrich.
Our next stop is in Winter Park just outside of Orlando, for a rally at 1:30 pm at a presidential forum hosted by Mat Staver and the Liberty Counsel.
