Higgins first tweeted out to Mr. Lee and others was not the home of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman. I noticed through Google Earth that the neighborhood was not a gated community and was several miles from the Retreat at Twin Lakes where the shooting took place. Furthermore, there were no reports that massive crowds were gathering around Mr. Zimmerman’s residence either.

My suspicions were confirmed after I spoke with a neighbor of the McClain’s, Tim, who told me several news agencies had already passed through the area looking for Mr. Zimmerman and that an Elaine lived at the address not Trayvon Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman. I was surprised, given the gravity of the potential danger to the occupant living at the Edgewater Circle address, that other news outlets had not reported the case of mistaken identity already.
