Sunset following thunderstorm

One of the prettiest skies yet — the overture to the summer season played out here in Florida this evening.  I shot these photos as the sun was setting after a particularly active thunderstorm with heavy rain. Note the sliver of a silver moon (it’s tiny, but you can see it if you squint!)  The sky was filled with every color imaginable.

  1. Wish I was there. I would really like a week near the beach right now. With the passing of my mother one week ago today, watching my country continue on its slide to Lord knows where, I’m tired, frustrated, sad, angry, etc. etc.
