I just wrapped up an interview with Dr. Dave Weldon, Florida’s Conservative Republican Candidate for US Senate, who joined us to discuss his views on why he’s running and what he hopes to accomplish.
Weldon, a physician who served three terms in the US Congress beginning in 1994 before leaving to resume private practice, has said he’s fed up with the Senate’s stonewalling and wants to get back to Washington do something about it. Weldon is vying for the seat currently held by Democrat and Obama-supporter Bill Nelson, but must first face Republican Connie Mack in Florida’s primary on August 14th.
