Wausau

On Saturday I took a walk through the center of Wausau and found some interesting architecture, beautiful churches, and lovely parks.  Have you ever been to Wausau?  Do you live there?  The people are warm and friendly, open and approachable.  If I had to pick a place to live outside of my home in Florida, Wausau would be in the top category. And here’s why…

Below is a slide show of the Classical Revival architecture style of the Yawkey House, part of the Marathon County Historic Museum and home of turn of the century lumber baron Cyrus Yawkey and his wife Alice. Also, the Wausau Arts Block, the River Walk along the Wisconsin River where singer and recording artist Diana Nagy (a member of the Campaign to Defeat Obama team) posed for a couple of pix during a nature walk, interiors and stained glass windows of the Church of the Resurrection, and exteriors of the First Universalist Unitarian Church, St. Steven Lutheran Church, Wausau City Hall, and more.

Enjoy!
