To punish Trump for doing that, rabid political partisans inside the federal agencies & the news media brainstormed how to take a fake political narrative peddled by Clinton operatives during the 2016 campaign & use it to drive Trump from office.
As Trump’s transition team prepared to take power in January 2017, the SpyGate plotters shifted from passively spying on Trump looking for dirt they could get rewarded for after they handed it off to Madame President for her ultimate payback on Trump to something even worse.
The SpyGate plotters took the FAKE PRETEXT for their spying on the Trump campaign looking for dirt they could hand to President Hillary for her revenge & began trying to frame people based on it, starting with General Flynn.
When Trump won the election, it ALL changed.
Something the SpyGate plotters knew quite well was 100% fake that they’d used to bluff their way into getting surveillance of the Trump campaign, they began brainstorming with each other in Nov. ’16 to figure out a way to CHARGE TRUMP-RELATED PEOPLE WITH CRIMES.

THAT’S the piece of the puzzle that was just filled in by these disclosures from the DOJ.

After committing massive fraud on the FISA Court to get a spy warrant, their **legal** spying on Trump & his associates from late Oct. 2016 all the way to September 2017 turned up NOTHING THEY COULD USE to hurt Trump with.
They did almost a full year of legal spying on Trump’s entire team and didn’t find anything they could hand off to Mueller.
So the Crossfire Hurricane team was FORCED TO GET CREATIVE.
At first they managed to use a key strategic leak against Gen. Flynn to drive the narrative that TRUMP AND HIS TOP TEAM ARE ALL RUSSIAN AGENTS!!!11!!
Their own leak caused a hue & cry to build for two weeks for Flynn to be investigated, which they then moved to act on.
They were hoping by promoting this public perception of Trump’s administration being RIDDLED with foreign agents working for Putin, they’d make it so the Trump administration couldn’t function, until they could find something to impeach him with.
But by Summer of 2017 it’s just not working out.
Trump hit the ground running like a sprinter and he was actively and enthusiastically destroying all the Democrat slush funds, all their pet projects & enacting his America First agenda.
Leaks alone weren’t getting it done.
Also by Summer of 2017, Comey’s been fired by Trump and Rod Rosenstein has been dropped in their midst & first thing RR does is wrest control of the RussiaGate stuff away from McCabe.
Like the rat faced overcompensator he is, McCabe was furious about being put on the sidelines.
So the Crossfire Hurricane team decides to do THEIR PART in taking the use of the fake Trump/Russia Collusion hoax to the next step.
Since the ‘leak every other day about Trump the Russian Agent!’ wasn’t getting enough traction to stop Trump, time to start charging people!
And so unsealed documents from the Summer and Fall of 2017 show the FBI people **discussing** among themselves how they’re going to go BACK to that strategic leak against Flynn from January to WaPo & the FBI interview it led to and USE the interview to invent a crime.
THIS is why the original 302 interview forms are missing.
THEY HAD TO GO BACK AND CHANGE THEM during the Summer after they finished their brainstorming sessions and decided on making a false statement charge against Flynn from the Jan. interview.
