China is below the proposed rate with 25 percent.
In fact, the U.S. corporate tax rate will be the highest of the 37 countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) once France implements their reduction to 25.83 percent over the next year. Sweden and the Netherlands are likewise reducing their tax rates on businesses.
With so many foreign countries enacting tax policies that will make their economies more appealing to investment and entrepreneurship, the U.S. economy is in danger of falling behind. It’s ironic that Biden’s policy is described as “made in America,” as this will likely push new business away from the United States and onto the shores of countries with more habitable economies.

- A John Doe summons enables the IRS to gather information about a group of unidentified taxpayers who could be violating tax laws. Under the Summons, Circle must give the names of the Americans whom the IRS believes have not accurately reported or paid their taxes. The IRS is specifically seeking information about U.S. taxpayers who conducted at least $20,000 in cryptocurrency transactions between 2016 and 2020.

Montana Gov. signed a bill banning sanctuary cities, which effectively act as safe havens for illegal immigrants, across the state, promising “immigration laws will be enforced in Montana.”
Per the law, local enforcement agencies will be required to abide by federal immigration law or face penalties for noncompliance. The law grants the attorney general authority to bring a civil action “to compel compliance by a state agency or local government.” Violators may have grants withheld and could face fines of “$10,000 every five days that the state agency or local government is not in compliance with the provisions,” per the measure.
