It is now a felony for doctors to provide care to trans youth in Arkansas. Gov. Asa Hutchinson vetoed the bill, calling it “overboard” and “extreme.”
The bill, which which is enacted because state legislators overrode the governor’s veto, makes it illegal for transgender minors to receive gender-affirming medication or surgery.
