Masked up at Publix.

Was at my friendly neighborhood Publix Supermarket today. Employees still wearing heavy thick cotton Publix green masks (poor things…) and several shoppers were masked up. Idjits.

Question: How long is it going to take Publix Corporate (and other businesses) to repeal the mask policy? Anyone want to take a guess?

  1. I talked to several employees at various stores today and yesterday, they aren’t even wearing mask over mouth, pulling down over chin. They are waiting for the big offices to tell them no more.

  2. I am so glad we own our own business and don’t have to worry about the muzzles. We live in the North Georgia Mountains and just this week I have started to see a change.

Last week, while doing my weekly shopping, I was disturbed by the amount of people choosing to mask up after the BS mandates were canceled. Both shoppers and employees were masked up like good little sheep.

This week, I was so happy to see that almost every shopper was free breathing! And the employees are mostly unmasked as well. I couldn’t help myself by loudly saying “Isn’t it nice to see everyone’s smiling faces!!!”. I was rewarded with about 40 smiles and cheers along with one insulted glare from the sheep in the Chinese blue mask. It was a good day at “the Walmart”.

  3. I’m in Cape Coral (next to Fort Myers) and was in Publix just a couple of days ago. I’d say it was about half and half – both customers and employees. I was talking to a Target employee that same day and they no longer have to wear a mask if they have been vaccinated. That employee also said something to the effect of they can’t actually directly ask you whether or not you’ve been vaccinated, so it is on the honor system. I thought that was interesting. If I were a Target employee, I’d definitely be “vaccinated”. WINK WINK
