Meet Jarrin Jackson, Christian

From his Telegram channel:

Stirring Poo (A War Story)

Jarrin Jackson

In 2010, I spent a lovely vacation on the Af-Pak border.

Sabari District. Khost Province.

Now, for the majority of that deployment, we did not have running water.

We pooped in the bottom thirds of 55 gallon drums.

Hot. Piles of poo. Flies smoochin’ your cheeks.

For months.

Now, since we pooped in the barrel bottoms, we had to empty them.

The only way we knew how was to pour diesel fuel on the pyramids of poo.

And set them on fire.

Since Everyone Poops (a famous kid book about potty training) everyone had a role in burning the poo.

We made a competition out of it.

Quick aside: if I die of lung cancer, please read this story at my funeral.

Pardon my language: we called this the “Shit-lympics.”

The contest was to see who could stir the longest without gagging or quitting.

Think of the variables: poo, fire, stirring with rebar, humidity of Afghan summer, and a chance of rocket fire.

I was the reining “shit-lympics” champion.

How? You may ask.

Where others stirred fast, I stirred slow (stirring was to work the poo in with the diesel or else the fire would die off).

I learned that the faster you stirred, the more stench you generated. The poo particulates would cling to your tongue.

🤮

But, if you stirred slowly, then you could manage the smell.

Moreover, a slower stir actually enabled the fire to burn thoroughly – as opposed to a fast stir.

Why do I tell you this:

1. Some folks want Jarrin’s war stories. This is one your kids can enjoy (call it the poo-lympics).

2. Not all combat deployments are the same – some are poopier (my 2010 was way poopier than my 2014).

3. I am proficient at stirring poo; not bc I stir quickly or vigorously, but bc I’m methodical and can withstand the smell.

Amen.

Now, take a shower & brush your teeth.

And go to war.

Just because my mind is on Afghanistan:

I remember hunching over the first combat dead I saw.

I didnt kill him.

He and an Afghan police officer were killed in a shootout.

We heard the gunfire. Ten minutes later, a Afghan humvee zoomed through our gates towards our aid station.

Three guys. Two dead. One barely alive.

Afghans dumped the dead by the Hesco barriers.

They watched the living one for a bit. The living one was an insurgent; a bullet caught him in the chest and rips out his nose.

Every breath filled and emptied a bubble of snot and blood – a weird combo for a membrane to grow and retract with breathing.

American medics wanted to treat him right away. Afghans wanted to let him bleed out.

Medics won out & took him to treat him.

I went to the two dead. Dumped like trash.

The first guy was really chewed up – guy tried to drink from a machine gun.

The second guy was pristine – except the small hole in his chest. There was no exit wound, so the tumbling likely sliced him up really bad.

I still remember their faces.

I still remember how their fellow Afghans dumped them there, but forbade us touch them (non-Muslims cannot touch dead Muslims).

I talk about Jesus Christ so much bc I have all this in my head.

Only Christ conquers sin and death.

Folks are free to have whatever faith they choose.

My faith compels me talk about Jesus Christ bc only He can save a wretch like me.

Amen.

Now, go to war.

(I’m going to bed)

Say ‘idolatry’ instead of ‘woke’

Say sodomy instead of gay.

Say treason instead of election fraud.

Say godless commie instead of RINO/Democrat/etc.

We need leaders who, when the feds do a false flag mass murder to push a gun-grabbing narrative, say things like, “I support universal gun access.”

Anyone hinting or whiffing at “red flag laws” earns the irrevocable title, “godless commie.”

Disarming citizens is the best way to Nazi your freedom.

(If you read “Nazi” and thought “not see” then your brain functions like mine – dark humor 😀)

Words are how our brains – designed by God – group concepts/ideas.

When we speak words, we send groupings of ideas – packaged by our brain.

The way we believe shapes the way we communicate.

Jesus Christ said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt 12:34).

Jesus Christ said He is truth.

Jesus Christ said God’s word is truth.

Therefore, when we speak about truth (or matters thereof), we should use Bible words.

That is, of course, assuming you believe in Jesus Christ & what He taught about the Bible.

You could reject Him & His Word.

But then you’re using a different foundation & belief system.

When we speak, we show the posture & position of our hearts.
