The name keeps popping up.
Engel was Assistant AG under Barr and head of Trump’s Office of Legal Counsel his entire Presidency.
According to documents I found from the beginning of Trump’s Presidency, the OLC was charged with reviewing at the Presidential Emergency Actions Documents (PEADS) already in the file, and would’ve had to also review any NEW ones done by Trump (making sure they were legal, constitutional, etc).
In Jan ‘21, Trump made Engel one of the Custodians of his Presidential Records.
Just a little interesting connection since the FBI Mar-a-Lago FBI raid… looking for “Classified” documents… 😏
