These are animals!!!! I grew up on the NW side of Chicago and am now a snowbird that lives in Chicago suburbs in the summer. This is so disgusting to me. I remember during the George Floyd riots how the old mayor Lori Lightfoot just let all these antifa like thugs run the streets and burn everything down. Her and Gov Pritzker would not take President Trumps offer of National Guard troops to get it under control. Chicago Police were told to stand down are you kidding me??? She set a curfew and it was not enforced. It was like Gotham city!
The scenes of the looting and fires were very upsetting to me and I will never forgot them. Now even in the expensive areas of the Gold coast the crime is rampant. No one feels safe downtown. The new Mayor Brandon Johnson is worse than Lightfoot. Our once beautiful city is turning into a hell hole. God please help us.
