This evening I attended a special presentation as a guest of SpaceX to view their production of a SpaceX Original documentary about the development and test flights of the STARSHIP.

The event began with a VIP reception followed by the presentation of a the STARSHIP series shown inside the ornate 100 year old Cocoa Village Playhouse Theater. The juxtaposition of the red velveted playhouse with a futuristic subject matter was somewhat ironic, but worked.

The first of three episodes “Test Like You Fly” depicted the first flight of Starship three years ago off the coast of Texas, taking us through the factories and onto the launch pads where humanity’s future in space is unfolding.
Episode 2 titled “Critical Path” continued the ongoing series, following SpaceX engineers through the final days before launch of the first Starship V3 and the challenges that came with the development of the world’s most powerful and fully reusable rocket.
Episode 3 “The Holy Grail of Rocketry” continued the ongoing Starship series with a look back at the scrappy days of SpaceX engineers proving reuse was possible and took us along for an onboard high-seas race to recover a floating STARSHIP.
You can watch these episodes and more at SpaceX.com/content.
STARSHIP will launch as early as this December from Kennedy Space Center’s launch pads.
