“They are wrecking the electric grid at the same time that they are taxing poorer consumers to give wealthier consumers $7500 tax credits. No one would believe this level of utter stupidity among politicians in a novel.” Comment at Zerohedge
ZEROHEDGE: The market for used EVs is plummeting. What will car rental companies do with the used ones? Problems started in China but have spread to Europe and the US.
COMMENT SECTION:
Considering an EV? $7,500 tax credit calling you? You better open your eyes first because that little $7,500 tid bit isn’t going to do squat to your potential EV costs.
- What is the cost of maintenance on the EV once it is in your name?
- What is the cost of insuring this EV now and over its life span.
- What IS its lifespan?
- What is your time worth as it sits for hours at a charging station?
- Will you be able to park in public parking places much longer?
- What is YOUR liability if YOUR car ignites a parking garage while you are away?
- What does your homeowner’s insurance say about parking or charging your EV in the garage or within 50 feet of the house they are insuring?
- Are there charging stations where you are going? Are they at capacity or are the queues half a mile long?
- At 4,000 miles you accidentally run over some road debris or a curb or some ice, and it bangs up the battery casing. Who will repair it? Will anyone touch it?
- If the battery is damaged, what is the cost of replacing it? Who will pay for that new battery? See insurance question.
- Who will even accept a damaged EV for even body repairs?
- Who has mechanics capable of servicing your EV?
- What do you do with the old battery, damaged or worn out? And what is the cost of disposal?
Yes it is a marvel of untested engineering only you, the test dummies, will prove or disprove the economics and dangers involved in EV ownership.
Good luck to ya, you’re gonna need it, along with a good lawyer.

An electric vehicle crashed and caught fire in Autauga County on Christmas night.
https://www.wsfa.com/2023/12/26/driver-custody-after-tesla-crashes-burns-interstate-65/
Over 36,000 gallons of water used for electric vehicle fire on I-65
Firefighters say due to the thermal runaway of the Tesla’s battery, the fire required over 36,000 gallons of water before it was brought under control in a little over an hour.
Pine Level Fire Chief Austin Worcester said a typical car fire can take between 300 to 1,000 gallons to put out, depending on how advanced the vehicle is. He said the extra water needed in this case was “typical of an electric vehicle fire.”
___
Why are our public SERVANTS telling us what kind of car we can drive?
Because they haven’t been hung from a lamppost yet.
Pols can’t oppress if they can’t breathe.
___
I was 98% sure I was never going to buy an EV. Then when Biden came out and pushed us to buy one, he definitely changed my mind! I’m now at 100% sure I won’t be buying an EV. 😂
___
Minnesota just found out EV buses wont work when you have to turn on the heaters………..they cant even make a quarter of the round before theyre fully discharged and having to tow them in……..
With Diesel Tow Trucks
___
Isn’t it AMAZING how the useless idiot morons didn’t bother to buy a couple of buses and test them out in super cold cities for EVERYONE to benefit from the results before pissing away money? The same thing happened in Scandanavia. Funny how EVERYTHING government touches turns to ****.

During my brief time arguing with Green nuts before I burned out (early 2021), I would often inquire as to what existing infrastructure, proofs of concept, etc. there were. I pointed out that no one denied that wind and solar could generate power; my only question was what the actual operating costs were. Surely, I inquired, there must be some commercial level project that had been in operation a few years, and perhaps some disinterested auditor had checked the records and produced a report of the true operating costs, energy produced, and so forth. I never got a coherent answer. The closest I found was at such sites as Carbon Tracker. They’d produced a glossy report touting the advantage of (I think) solar power. Only in a tiny footnote did they admit that their figures assumed certain government subsidies. These people are deluded beyond any prospect of reasoning with them. I don’t even bother any more.

I seem to remember a time when this same administration tried to FORCE AMERICANS TO GET A CLOT SHOT…
“…My patience is wearing thin…”
*
**** JOE BIDEN! He’s not my president and he’s not anyone’s president.
*
And piss on EV’s
*
Be careful if you piss on an EV, you know, like don’t electricute yourself, explode your soft parts, bad idea.
*
You need to be vaxed until the morale improves.
*
But señor, it is not without reason they call us “peons”.
___
The American Communists don’t seem to have a problem with 8 year old black kids digging with their hands to get minerals for American EV’s that only the rich drive
*
How about everyone focus on the west instead of some 8 year old dumb *** in a mine. The west is imploding while everyone is worried about the rest of the planet.
*
Cuz karen needs something to save. Degenerates, sodomites, criminals, trannys, anyone. Virtue signaling is what’s for dinner.
___
I’ll buy an electric car when John Kerry buys an electric jet.
And Algore buy electric vehicles for his convoys.
___
When governments attempt to subsidize any business, it is because that business cannot function with rational economics. EV’s are the classic example
*
Solar and wind, too. Biggest dumbass project ever putting up those giant windmills.
*
If you tell liberals that, the head swells and explodes.
___
Can’t wait to see the first EV junk yard to catch fire. It will be an environmental catastrophe added to the environmental catastrophes of mining and refining all the metals and minerals necessary to build these POSes.
*
don’t be downwind
*
supposedly, when any plastic is burned, dioxins are released (or created)
dioxins are the most toxic substance humans have invented (so far)
there are zero remediation steps for dioxins
how much plastic is used in an EV battery? the case? the wiring? the wrapping around individual battery cells?
___
A friend of mine told me the next car she buys is going to be an EV. When I asked her if she was accounting for having a charger installed in her garage for about $4K, she said no. When I asked where she would go in town to charge the car, she said she didn’t know but she’d find a place.

Vaxxed up how many times?
___
EVs – even though they have much fewer parts – are significantly heavier than their ICE counterparts. EV trucks and SUVs weigh 2.5 times more than ICE trucks and SUVs. In terms of sedans, the EVs weigh about 30% more than ICE cars.
Parking ramps – engineered for lighter ice vehicles, collapse risk. EV battery fires, when one torches up the whole row goes inferno.
Tires – EVs chew up tires much faster with their heavy weights.
Road taxes – EVs pay no fuel taxes, and every EV is subsidized heavily by the ICE driving public.
This is the hypocrisy being forced upon us by the government retards, the FJB dip****tery gallery.
___
I got into a real pigfight over the weight of EV’s and how only a moron could think that’s even an issue.
*
But how could it not be? Every bridge in the world has a weight limit.
*
Sounds like the same model used for the vaccines. Three months of testing and hide the results.

Who will be responsible for all the people that will burn to death when the batteries start exploding?
When will anyone admit the earth cannot supply all the minerals needed to build those batteries. And the damage the wind farms being done, where are those environmental groups?
Since TPTB are banning oil, gas, coal, they purposely want us defenseless as well as car less. They want us to die.
