A friend texted that she listened to Glenn Beck’s program this morning as he interviewed the author of this book. Sounds interesting, to say the least.

“This may just be the single most important book on modern Evangelicalism in recent years. It is bold, clear, and very well-researched.”—John MacArthur
How deeply have leftist billionaires infiltrated America’s churches?
In Shepherds for Sale, Megan Basham of the Daily Wire documents how progressive powerbrokers —from George Soros, to the founder of eBay, to former members of the Obama administration— set out to change the American church. Their goal: to co-opt evangelicals for political purposes. She exposes:
· The left-wing billionaires, foundations, and think tanks that deliberately target Christian media, universities, megachurches, nonprofits, and even entire denominations
· The celebrity megachurch pastor who secretly encouraged a group of pastors to change their views on sexuality
· The revered Presbyterian theologian who backed a congregation rebelling against his own denomination
These are just a glimpse into the compromises and astroturf campaigns Basham uncovers. Many evangelical leaders are pushing their members to “whisper” about sexual sins, reconsider the importance of abortion, lament the effects of climate change, and repent of “perpetuating systemic racism.” And in exchange for toeing a left-wing line, many of those church leaders and institutions have received cash, career jumps, prestige, and praise. Basham brings the receipts, and names names.
A rigorously reported exposé, Shepherds for Sale is a warning of what happens when the church trusts the world’s wisdom instead of Scripture.
Here’s another interesting interview Beck did. This one with Michael Rush, author of “Ezra’s Eagle Prophecy”
There’s a prophecy in the ancient apocryphal book of 2 Esdras that some believe is about the United States. The “Ezra’s Eagle Prophecy” details a 3-headed eagle whose feathers were believed to represent a succession of Roman leaders. But “A Remnant Shall Return” author Michael Rush believes the feathers might be leaders of a powerful End Times country — specifically, America.
Rush joins Glenn to lay out his interpretation of the Ezra’s Eagle prophecy, including why he believes it details the history of U.S. presidents since Herbert Hoover.
But do the feathers on the Eagle’s shorter left wing represent Trump, Biden, and Kamala Harris?
Was the Deep State prophesied about over 2,000 years ago? And is it even a true prophecy?
Glenn and Michael break down why we may soon know for sure.

We are able to definitely hear what others have to say. And absolutely agree with the premise of the book and with Christian universities, ministries, etc. being bought out and changing biblical views. The one thing we absolutely cannot bow to is the idea that somehow our Bible is not complete. And the use of other so-called books of the Bible that we’re not canonized by the churches forefathers. This is the area of danger for Christians. Maybe even more so Than these churches swinging left. Adding or taking away anything from the actual canonize Bible – whom if we believe God is all powerful is able to make sure what He wants in his written word is there and what He does not want in his written word is not there – we think He’s powerful enough to preserve that. Revelation has a big warning about adding to His word or taking it away. I’ve been in full-time ministry for 21+ years and this is a big danger when people try to bring other so-called books of the Bible that are not part of the Bible into The mix we cry out danger danger danger !!! we can read this person’s book and glean some valuable information. But we certainly cannot glean from a fraudulent books of the Bible.
what about the Book of Enoch?
I certainly am not a Scholar. And I guess reading Enoch etc. might give Christians a wider Theology historical perspectives . However, I think it important to approach it with caution and not give equal weight as canonical scripture being mindful of the reasons they were excluded from the Bible when studying non-canonical texts. Otherwise it Could be a slippery slope.
And the Book of Enoch is mentioned, referred to in the N.T. by Jude, in reference to rough times in the latter day: Jude 14-15 It was also about these that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “See, the Lord is coming with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all, and to convict everyone of all the deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (referring to 1 Enoch 1:91)
I never really took note of it – until it was brought up someone, when the Miami folks saw some very tall, very strange creatures, last winter if I recall. The reference was about giants possibly existing, and they referred to the book of Enoch talking about the giants (fallen angels) lying with the daughters of men.
That Miami mall event got shut down really fast, became quiet, strangely quiet. . . . Kind of like how the destruction of that small town in Hawaii was shut down pretty completely too.
In response to Kevin, (who I believe is correct), go to YouTube and see the video, Dr. Michael S Heiser answers, “Why are there Different Canons of the Old Testament?” It’s at YouTube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUK7RNXza-k Canonical or non Canonical, he explains it with much wisdom gleaned from his years of study as an expert in Semitic languages and biblical studies. I grew up a Jehovah’s Witness. That 16 year experience left a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to organized religion. If the Amish baptize you then you belong to the Amish and they might change their mind on some of the rules. You then have to go along to get along. Same goes for the Methodist church. That church just went through a huge split over same sex marriage. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are very zealous about shunning those who don’t toe the line. I have many family members who have been shunned by my family. My mother never talked to her brother, my sister ceased all communication with her daughter, and I have an aunt who shunned her daughter. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (the head of the Jehovah’s Witnesses) pushed vaccines very strongly. They called getting vaccinated, “Loving one’s neighbor as oneself.” Members who spoke out against the vaccines were warned and then shunned if they did not heed the warnings. I wonder how much money the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society was paid by the government to push the vaccines through their literature? Jesus warned us about the “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” that would lead followers of God away. Those wolves are within the churches.
Some apocryphal books were left as an appendix to the KJV but they’ve also been left out in more recent editions to save on printing costs. They’re considered to be edifying but not canon. The East Orthodox also have an extra book that western Christianity doesn’t have.
