“What are the odds these donors – I mean “replacements” – will have access to sensitive material and immunity from prosecution for insider trading?” — Steve Friend at X
Disclose.TV – “NEW – U.S. lawmakers plan for possible “mass casualty” event, proposing a constitutional amendment to replace members quickly and change various lines of succession in a “national crisis.”
A bipartisan group of four House members is advocating for a constitutional amendment allowing for the quick replacement of Congress members in the event of a mass-casualty attack. Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-Wash.) with Reps. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), William Timmons (R-S.C.), and Emanuel Cleaver II (D-Mo.) put forth a proposal to ensure that Congress can continue its work if a large number of members are killed in a mass attack.
This proposal aims to ensure continuous representation and prevent violence from shifting political power. “We’ve seen a 300 percent increase in threats against members over the last seven years,” noted Rep. Derek Kilmer.
The amendment would require House members to provide a list of potential replacements to their state’s governor. Filling vacancies quickly would help maintain stability and deter political violence. However, passing such an amendment is challenging due to the need for a two-thirds congressional vote and state ratification.
Richard Primus, a constitutional law professor at the University of Michigan, suggested lawmakers should also consider changing the Presidential Succession Act, which includes the speaker of the House and the president pro tempore of the Senate in the line of succession.

Constitutional Amendment….. 26 states MUST ratify………hmmmm.
Why don’t you just send these fools back to their home states / home states’ offices and make them work where “we the people” have total access to them and lobbyists, etc have to travel. After all, we all had to work from home….. why can’t / don’t they. That eliminates the opportunity for a “mass casualty” event, unless they’re using pagers manufactured by Israel…………
Think of the money WeThePeople would save to shut down that expensive cesspool………..they get paid their state’s average wage and benefits, small office staff, etc, etc, etc. Add term limits to this ……..
Who’s in favor????? Congress was meant to be a service, not a career……
NO.
Naw.
Nope.
“Quick replacement”. Key process to avoid like the Bubonic plague.
Quick = panic
This is wishful ‘thinking’ for those sly rascals who believe the masses are stupid, don’t apply ‘critical’ to their thinking and would predictably make rushed decisions based on fear-based emotions.
An idea like this isn’t coming from the brain trust of our ‘leadership’; who are these four ideologues?
If you approve of this idea I have a bridge in New Mexico to sell you.
God will punish our enemies. We will arrange the meetings.

How about we just rely on our State to represent us until we can elect new reps. who uphold the constitution instead of changing it to suit their evil desires.
Not sure where my previous post went……
How about we just send all these representatives back to their states…… hold their office hours THERE within the reach of WETHEPEOPLE. They can work remotely…… just like WE had to during COVID…… They can eliminate all the office expense in DC, be out of the reach of lobbyists, and living with the people they represent. No chance of “mass casualty” unless they’re carrying Israeli made walkie-talkies…….. change their salary base to the average paid in their state, and all their benefits to the average paid in their state.
Think of the cost savings………. add to it term limits….. and let them provide a service to their state / country, not a career.
How about it? Any takers????
