I watched msnbc all week. They are absolutely obsessed with derailing Pete Hegseth. They thought it would be over days ago. They still don't understand, total and utter denial.
Keep up the pressure. Pete has momentum, he will be confirmed.pic.twitter.com/oOrAchc5Mq

“I think the Senators that are talking about not confirming Pete are being pressured by their donors and not necessarily the just because of the news. If their donors are part of the war machine and Pete is anti war then of course they don’t want him in charge of the military.” – SarahGonvalves1 on X
“They want us to believe Pete Hegseth is unqualified because of his drinking and sex life. Imagine believing these are the reasons they oppose him. Yeah, right.” – BrianOBrien on X

Regarding the Follow the Money image above: the other day I happened to tune into Foxnews in the evening with Brett, who featured a rather important issue (to him) about how polls conducted concluded that the majority of Americans, presumably included Trump voters – all want a strong active military with many US military bases worldwide – ready to fight. Brett showed the major print media all reporting the articles.
I got to wondering the who/what/when/why of this feature story. WHO sponsored it. WHY, WHAT was the purpose.
The sponsors popped into my head: Defense Contractors – and those others who are involved in making $$$$ at the laundry mat.
We must stop the sponsor and lobbyist regimes, they have brought nothing but corruption to our country.
Look at what big pharma has done, killed off and damaged millions, same for the military contractors.
Strong, fight-ready military. YES. With ALL assets deployable (sorry trans…go home). Now as to the need for global bases / global access to bases……MAY be necessary…but essential???? Willing to listen to the argument as long as it stops WAY WAY WAY short of being a global policeman. Done with that.
My husband spent 22 years serving honorably in the military to protect our country–at least that’s what he was led to believe–until the last four years. After Active Duty retirement he worked for two of the aforementioned DoD contractors. He worked as a contractor, with honorable intentions, for 23 years dedicated to providing support for military personnel. However, those contractors who serve today to support our current military have no idea about the “devil in the details” because our “busybody” government has lied to them–as have the companies. Most contractor employees (Retired Military) don’t know the lie they’ve lived while serving & contracting–the lie seems to incredible to believe. How could our government…?
We’ve been taught for decades that there’s always a “bad guy”–seemingly another country. These past four years have taught & shown that the true enemy lies within, and sadness of those who served & died to protect us were more than likely seen as dispensable. I simply cannot imagine the mental health of these men and women who realize the evil complicity of Government & DoD. God help them.
I gotta say – I SO agree with you. I too served a long time (27 yrs) USAF/ANG, 22 active duty; a few reserve yrs but still in uniform as a ‘Fed Tech’ in ANG. Then another 9 yrs as a DoD civil servant. Total 35 yrs total Fed Service combined, basically from ’78 to 2005, 2007 to 2016. And I thought all we did was noble – in every branch. Yet for me, some cracks in my trust began to show during the Desert storm/Shield era; then 9/11 and GWOT. So today, I’m a critical doubter, a skeptic who doubts/questions the ‘gov’t’, the MSM, yes even the Fox network i used to blindly adore. I used to blindly trust every politician under the GOP label. No more though. If this mess can be salvaged, somewhat restored – that would be an amazing thing.
